  1. CVE-2026-99025 – Non évaluée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: openvswitch: fix soft lockup in the netlink flow dump A production compute node carrying a few thousand datapath flows hit a soft lockup inside a single netlink flow dump and panicked. ovs_flow_cmd_dump() calls ovs_flow_stats_get() for every flow it emits, and that releases stats->lock with spin_unlock_bh() once per CPU that has touched the flow. Every release is a local_bh_enable(), and each one runs the pending softirq backlog in the dumping thread's own context. The skb bounds the flows one callback emits, but not the softirq work it absorbs. On a CPU that carries the box's packet load the backlog refills as fast as it drains, so the dumping thread becomes that CPU's softirq engine. It never sleeps and it has no reschedule point, so under voluntary preemption nothing can take the CPU away from it: neither the ksoftirqd the kernel woke to take the work over, nor the stopper thread the softlockup detector dispatches to refresh its timestamp. Hold BH off across the whole callback instead, the way ctnetlink_dump_table() does, so the nested spin_unlock_bh() stop draining softirqs. The loop already runs under rcu_read_lock() and cannot sleep. What it gives up is preemption under CONFIG_PREEMPT, since a BH-off region is not preemptible outside PREEMPT_RT. The region stays short: the skb caps the flows one callback emits, and empty buckets cost no skb space but are each visited once per dump, as the cursor only moves forward. The table grows on insert and shrinks only on flush, so the walk is bounded by the largest flow count the datapath has held. The softirq backlog the callback used to absorb has no bound at all.

  2. CVE-2026-99002 – Non évaluée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vmwgfx: validate pitch coming from userspace Validate the pitch, alongside the box dimensions before trying to copy data from the underlying surface. Fixes possible out of bounds reads with cursor snooping.

  3. CVE-2026-115509 4.2 Moyenne

    jitsucom jitsu

Jitsu console before 2.14.0-beta.41 contains an incorrect authorization vulnerability in sources/state.ts handlers that call findFirst without await, so the syncId ownership check never fails. Authenticated users knowing another workspace's sync ID can read, overwrite or delete its stream cursors, causing data re-ingestion or skipped data.

  4. CVE-2026-105938 2.3 Faible

    Apache Software Foundation Apache Pulsar

Apache Pulsar namespaces can restrict which roles may use a subscription, either with the Prefix subscription authentication mode, which requires a subscription name to start with the role name, or by granting permission on a subscription to specific roles. Topic-level subscription operations, such as consuming, skipping messages, resetting a cursor or deleting a subscription, apply these subscription policies. Several admin REST API operations that act on subscriptions did not apply them: - the namespace-level and bundle-level clear backlog operations, both for a named subscription and for all subscriptions; - the namespace-level and bundle-level unsubscribe operations; - the topic-level operation that expires messages for all subscriptions of a topic. With the default authorization provider, the namespace-level operations require only consume permission granted on the namespace, and the expire-all operation requires only consume permission on the topic. As a result, when authentication and authorization are enabled and a namespace uses the Prefix subscription authentication mode or subscription permissions, an authenticated user with such consume permission can clear the backlog of, expire messages of, or delete a subscription that the policies would deny to that user. Tenant admin or superuser access is not required. The clear backlog operations can also be applied to the cursors used for geo-replication, so that messages not yet replicated to a remote cluster are skipped. Deployments that do not configure the Prefix subscription authentication mode or subscription permissions (the defaults) are not affected by this bypass, because consume permission on the namespace or topic already allows these operations there. This impact analysis assumes that Pulsar has been configured with the default authorization provider. For custom authorization providers, the impact could be different. The impact is on the integrity of subscription state. Clearing or expiring the backlog moves the subscription's cursor forward, so unacknowledged messages are no longer delivered to the subscription's consumers. The unsubscribe operation deletes a subscription that has no connected consumers. Skipped messages can be permanently deleted once no other subscription or the namespace's retention policy keeps them. The issue does not allow reading message contents, changing permissions or policies, or accessing other namespaces, and it does not affect the availability of the broker. In fixed versions, the namespace-level and bundle-level operations for a named subscription apply the subscription policies to that subscription, and the operations for all subscriptions, when requested by a user who is not a tenant admin or superuser, only act on the subscriptions that the user may access. Clearing the backlog of geo-replication cursors requires tenant admin or superuser access. Topic-level subscription operations apply the subscription policies for all types of authentication data, including that of the anonymous user role. This issue affects Apache Pulsar versions from 2.8.0 before 4.0.14 and from 4.1.0 before 4.2.5. - 4.0.x version users should upgrade to at least 4.0.14. - 4.1.x and 4.2.x version users should upgrade to at least 4.2.5. All brokers in a cluster must be upgraded before relying on the namespace-level restrictions, because brokers that have not been upgraded do not apply them when they receive the internal per-bundle requests. Users operating versions prior to those listed above should upgrade to the aforementioned patched versions or newer versions. The currently supported Apache Pulsar release lines are 4.0.x and 5.0.x. The supported versions schedule is available at https://pulsar.apache.org/contribute/release-policy/. Users who cannot upgrade immediately can reduce exposure by restricting network access to the broker's admin REST API to trusted administrative clients.

  5. CVE-2026-105934 7.2 Élevée

    Apache Software Foundation Apache Pulsar

The Apache Pulsar broker admin REST API provides a truncate operation for persistent topics (DELETE /admin/v2/persistent/{tenant}/{namespace}/{topic}/truncate). Truncating a topic moves all subscription cursors of the topic to the end of the topic and deletes the topic's inactive ledgers. Truncating a non-partitioned topic, or a single partition addressed by its partition name, correctly requires the tenant admin role or the superuser role. When the operation is requested for the name of a partitioned topic, the broker does not apply this tenant admin check to the caller. Instead, it truncates each partition using the broker's own internal admin client, which authenticates with the broker's configured client credentials rather than the caller's identity. Each per-partition truncate request is still checked for the tenant admin role or the superuser role, but against the broker's internal identity instead of the caller. The partitions are therefore truncated only when the broker's configured client role is a superuser or an admin of the target tenant, which is the usual configuration when authorization is enabled. As a result, when that condition holds, an authenticated user who is not a tenant admin can truncate any partitioned topic on which the user has lookup permission. Caller authentication and lookup permission alone are not sufficient: if the broker's internal identity lacks tenant admin or superuser authorization for the target tenant, the per-partition requests are rejected. With the default authorization provider, lookup permission is granted by produce or consume permission on the topic or its namespace. A user with no permissions on the topic cannot trigger the issue. This impact analysis assumes that Pulsar has been configured with the default authorization provider. For custom authorization providers, the impact could be different. Truncating a partitioned topic this way moves the cursors of all subscriptions on every partition to the end of the topic, so any unacknowledged backlog is skipped and is no longer delivered to consumers. It also deletes eligible older ledgers of each partition regardless of the namespace's configured retention policy, so messages stored in those ledgers can be permanently lost. The ledger currently being written is not deleted by the truncate operation. The issue does not allow reading message contents or changing permissions or configuration, and it does not give access to topics on which the user has no lookup permission. Users who cannot upgrade immediately can reduce exposure by restricting network access to the broker's admin REST API (/admin/v2) to trusted administrative clients.

  6. CVE-2026-96406 4.9 Moyenne

Eclipse Foundation Eclipse ThreadX - USBX

A VideoStreaming interface reports the size of its whole class-specific descriptor block in the `wTotalLength` field of its input header. The USBX host recorded that figure and used it as the budget for walking the format, frame and frame-interval descriptors, without holding it against the configuration descriptor actually received. A device that reports a `wTotalLength` larger than the descriptors it supplies therefore had its own claim believed. Once the real bytes ran out the walk kept going, dereferencing the cursor past the end of the configuration buffer, in the host's context, whenever the application queried format or frame data.

  7. CVE-2026-112272 5.5 Moyenne

    emersion libdisplay-info

Libdisplay-info 0.4.0 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the DisplayID v2 section parser in displayid2.c that allows attackers to read past the EDID buffer via oversized data block lengths. Attackers can supply a crafted EDID from a malicious monitor, KVM, capture device, or file to over-advance the parse cursor and crash applications.

  8. CVE-2026-98644 – Non évaluée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Avoid soft lockup in __htab_map_lookup_and_delete_batch() __htab_map_lookup_and_delete_batch() has no rescheduling point. The batch count bounds how many entries are copied out, not how many buckets are visited, so one BPF_MAP_LOOKUP_BATCH call can walk the map end to end. The empty-bucket fast path is worse: it stays inside a single rcu_read_lock() / bpf_disable_instrumentation() section for any run of consecutive empty buckets. That holds up on small maps, but it falls apart at scale. On a 144-CPU arm64 host running a CONFIG_PREEMPT_NONE kernel, periodic BPF_MAP_LOOKUP_BATCH calls against an LRU hash map with 16,777,216 buckets held a CPU inside the batch op for 77+ seconds and triggered the soft lockup watchdog. Commit 75134f16e7dd ("bpf: Add schedule points in batch ops") fixed this same problem in the generic batch ops, but not in this htab-native path, which every htab-based hash map variant uses for its lookup[_and_delete] batch ops. Complete that fix here. Leave the critical section after 64 consecutive empty buckets, call cond_resched_tasks_rcu_qs(), and resume at the saved bucket cursor. No locks are held at that point, and resuming from the cursor is already the function's behavior for non-empty buckets. Add the same call to the per-bucket loop after copy_to_user(), where every lock has been dropped. cond_resched_rcu() is not enough here: sleeping with bpf_prog_active elevated makes tracing programs on that CPU silently skip their invocations. Plain cond_resched() is not enough either. It is a no-op under PREEMPT and PREEMPT_LAZY, the only models arm64 and x86 have offered since commit 7dadeaa6e851 ("sched: Further restrict the preemption modes"). It is also never a Tasks RCU quiescent state, in any model: the reschedule counts as a preemption. The walking task stays a holdout and stalls every synchronize_rcu_tasks() caller, ftrace and BPF trampoline teardown included, until the syscall returns [1]. cond_resched_tasks_rcu_qs() is the usual tool for that [2]. It reports the quiescent state at each yield and still reschedules as cond_resched() does on PREEMPT_NONE and PREEMPT_VOLUNTARY kernels.

  9. CVE-2026-98623 – Non évaluée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/nouveau/clk: fix list cursor use after loop in nvkm_clk_ustate_update If list_for_each_entry() exits without hitting a break then "pstate" is not a valid pstate pointer. Introduce a "found" variable instead. The check is reachable from userspace: nvkm_clk_ustate_update() takes the pstate id straight from the 'pstate' debugfs file, so requesting an id that is not in clk->states - or any id at all when the perf tables are broken and the list is empty - makes the pstate->pstate != req test dereference the list head cast to a struct nvkm_pstate, which is an out-of-bounds read. [Francesco: rebased on drm-misc-next, expanded the commit message]

  10. CVE-2026-98597 – Non évaluée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: usb: sr9700: include receive overhead in the length check The receive fixup subtracts the Ethernet CRC from the reported packet length, but compares that payload length against the whole remaining receive buffer. The following copy starts after the three-byte header, and the cursor advance consumes both that header and the four-byte CRC. Require the payload to fit after SR_RX_OVERHEAD before copying it or advancing to the next packet. The loop already ensures that the remaining buffer is larger than the overhead, so the subtraction is safe. The issue was found by our static-analysis tool.

  11. CVE-2026-98582 – Non évaluée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: st21nfca: validate received frame size st21nfca_hci_i2c_repack() trims a received frame at its EOF marker before removing byte stuffing. It then assumes the truncated frame contains the LLC header and two CRC bytes, and it unconditionally reads the byte after an escape marker. A malformed frame can place EOF immediately after the start marker or can end its data portion with an escape marker. The former leaves too few bytes for check_crc(), while the latter makes the unstuffing loop read past the current skb length. Require the minimum framing bytes both before and after unstuffing. Use separate input and output cursors while removing byte stuffing, and reject an escape marker without its encoded byte. This keeps malformed frames within the received frame boundary before CRC processing.

  12. CVE-2026-98489 – Non évaluée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: atl1c: fix soft lockup on out-of-range tpd_cons read The hardware can report an out-of-range tpd_cons (seen as 0xffff) while the PCIe link/MAC is resetting. An out-of-range value can never be reached and the loop below would spin forever. To avoid a soft lockup treat it as "nothing new to clean" instead. Reproduced on two machines, same NIC (Qualcomm Atheros AR8151 v2.0, 4-port), triggered by rebooting a Mikrotik CCR2004 PCIe card that the ports are directly linked to: - Ubuntu 26.04.1 LTS, kernel 7.0.0-31-generic. 13. CVE-2026-98487 – Non évaluée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bridge: mdb: restart port group walk after deletion br_mdb_flush_pgs() keeps a pointer-to-pointer cursor while walking mp->ports. br_multicast_del_pg() can re-enter the same MDB entry through br_multicast_sg_del_exclude_ports() and unlink other port groups. If the cursor points into one of those groups, the next iteration dereferences a stale cursor and can leave mp->ports pointing at freed memory. A following RTM_GETMDB exposes the dangling pointer: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in br_mdb_dump Read of size 8 br_mdb_dump rtnl_mdb_dump rtnl_dumpit netlink_dump Reset the cursor to mp->ports after every deletion. The deletion removes at least the selected group, so the restarted walk always makes progress.

  14. CVE-2026-98443 – Non évaluée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: fix cursor and pointer handling when recovering iunlink buckets LOLLM pointed out a bug in xlog_recover_iunlink_bucket: 1. We don't null out prev_ip after releasing it, which can lead to UAF problems if the inodegc flush call in the loop fails. at which point I noticed even more bugs: 2. If the inodegc flush inside the loop fails, we also leak @ip. 3. We set prev_agino to agino having already advanced agino, which results in inodes with i_prev_unlinked set to itself. 4. If we exit the bottom of the loop with prev_ip set, then prev_ip aliases ip and we also set its i_prev_unlinked to itself. Bugs 3 and 4 introduce loops into the unlinked list, though these loops don't surface because we immediately flush each unlinked inode after loading it. Fix all of these issues.

  15. CVE-2026-112019 6.1 Moyenne

    jkuhlmann cgltf

cgltf through 1.15 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in cgltf_accessor_unpack_floats() that advances the sparse values cursor by the base bufferView byteStride. Attackers can supply a crafted glTF or GLB file that passes cgltf_validate() to read adjacent heap memory into vertex data or crash applications.

  16. CVE-2026-85748 9.9 Critique

    MariaDB server · Mariadb mariadb

MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From 12.3.1 until 12.3.3 and 13.0.2, SYS_REFCURSOR handling is affected because cursor-array reallocation can leave stale references in routine contexts. A low-privileged attacker can open a large number of SYS_REFCURSORs and then fetch one to trigger a use-after-free that can enable remote code execution when combined with another vulnerability. This issue is fixed in versions 12.3.3 and 13.0.2.

  17. CVE-2026-103414 8.4 Élevée

    Eclipse Foundation GUIX

The GUIX binary resource (theme) loader sizes its arena and populates it in two separate passes that traverse the resource file with independent cursor arithmetic. Because `gx_page_header_data_size` is never validated against the glyph data a page actually contains, the two passes can read different page headers for the same font page, derive different glyph counts, and reserve less than the load pass writes. The excess is written past the end of the arena, with content taken verbatim from the file. The overflowed buffer is allocated by GUIX itself, through `_gx_system_memory_allocator`, rather than supplied by the caller. The public API `gx_binres_theme_load()` takes no size parameter, so no amount of caller diligence prevents this. Reproduces in the shipped default configuration; `GX_BINARY_RESOURCE_SUPPORT` is enabled by default.

  18. CVE-2024-58392 3.3 Faible

    icculus PhysicsFS

PhysicsFS through 3.2.0 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in __PHYSFS_utf8codepoint() that allows attackers to read past name buffers via an off-by-one cursor advance on six-octet UTF-8 sequences. Attackers can supply a crafted archive with entry names ending in six-octet sequences, causing PHYSFS_utf8stricmp() and hashing to over-read and crash the application.

  19. CVE-2026-88842 3.3 Faible

    Red Hat Hardened Images

A flaw was found in BusyBox dpkg. The write_status_file() function does not reset a field cursor between package stanzas. When two packages are removed in a single invocation and the first stanza is larger than the second, the second package stanza can be dropped from the status file, causing limited data corruption.

  20. CVE-2026-109249 5.5 Moyenne

    FreeRDP

FreeRDP 3.0.0 before 3.32.0 contains a heap out-of-bounds read in freerdp_assistance_parse_all_elements_of() because it advances its parsing cursor without reducing the remaining length, letting the scan window exceed the decrypted ConnectionString2 buffer. Attackers can supply a crafted .msrcIncident invitation file and password that crash xfreerdp when opened, before any RDP connection.

  21. CVE-2026-81856 2.3 Faible

    hexpm hex

Improper Neutralization of Escape, Meta, or Control Sequences vulnerability in hexpm hex allows a malicious package publisher or a hostile repository server to inject terminal control sequences into the output of Mix tasks. Hex prints strings supplied by the package repository and the documentation search service straight to the terminal through Hex.Shell.info/1 and Hex.Shell.error/1, neutralizing no control characters. Affected sinks span package metadata and configuration snippets in mix hex.info, search results in mix hex.package search and mix hex.search, owner and organization listings, publish and sponsor URLs, the authenticated username in mix hex.user, policy identities in mix hex.policy, and API error bodies rendered by Hex.Utils.print_error_result/1. A malicious package can embed ANSI escape sequences (cursor movement, line erase, carriage returns, OSC 52 clipboard writes) or Unicode bidirectional overrides in any of those fields, so the bytes reach the terminal unchanged, forging displayed URLs, package descriptions and suggested commands, concealing real output, or writing to the clipboard. No authentication or privileged position is required; only publishing a package. This issue affects hex: from 0.0.1 before 2.5.2.

  22. CVE-2026-107391 7.5 Élevée

    Borewit music-metadata

music-metadata is a metadata parser for audio and video media files. In the public development revision introduced after 11.14.0, a development-branch regression in the MP4 stsd sample-description parser allows an attacker-controlled sample-entry size of zero to prevent the StsdAtom.get cursor from advancing while an attacker-controlled entry_count keeps the synchronous loop running. A crafted MP4-family input can block the Node.js event loop and grow the sample-description table until the process is terminated or exhausts memory. The vulnerable change was present on the public master branch but was not included in music-metadata 11.14.0 or any earlier npm release, and version 11.16.0 contains the fix. This issue is fixed in version 11.16.0.

  23. CVE-2026-107614 6.1 Moyenne

    GlavSoft TightVNC

An integer underflow in WinCursorShapeUtils::trimTransparent() in GlavSoft TightVNC Server for Windows before 2.8.88 allows a local authenticated user to crash the server, and potentially read out-of-bounds memory, by causing a cursor shape with a width or height of zero to be processed on the DXGI capture path. The loop bound width - 1 wraps to 0xFFFFFFFF, producing an access roughly 4 GB beyond the 64 KB cursor buffer; a monochrome cursor of height 1 also becomes 0 because getCursorHeight() halves the height in place.

  24. CVE-2026-107613 5.9 Moyenne

    GlavSoft TightVNC

A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability in the Win8ScreenDriver component of GlavSoft TightVNC Server for Windows before 2.8.88 allows an attacker to crash the server, causing a denial of service. When re-initialization of the DXGI Desktop Duplication driver fails in applyNewScreenProperties() (for example after a GPU reset, display hot-plug or session change), m_drvImpl is left NULL and is subsequently dereferenced without a check by executeDetection(), getScreenBuffer(), grabFb(), getScreenPropertiesChanged() and getCursorPosition().

  25. CVE-2026-106061 5.5 Moyenne

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 · Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 · Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 · Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8

A flaw was found in GIMP’s X cursor (XMC) thumbnail loader. When GIMP generates a thumbnail for a crafted XMC file, it allocates a pixel buffer using a width * height size computed in 32-bit signed arithmetic. If that product overflows, the allocation is smaller than the true image extent. A subsequent GEGL buffer read uses the unwrapped dimensions and performs an out-of-bounds read on the heap, after integer overflow in the size calculation. This can crash GIMP or corrupt process memory.

  26. CVE-2026-98166 7.8 Élevée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/ttm: fix swapped-out resources never leaving their bulk_move range ttm_tt_swapout() returns the number of pages swapped out on success and a negative error code on failure; for a populated ttm it never returns zero. Commit b2ed01e7ad3d ("drm/ttm: Fix ttm_bo_swapout() infinite LRU walk on swapout failure") moved the bulk_move bookkeeping in ttm_bo_swapout_cb() under "if (!ret)", so the ttm_resource_del_bulk_move_unevictable() / ttm_resource_move_to_lru_tail() pair is now skipped on every successful swapout. The equivalent change for the shrinker in commit 1d59f36e95f7 ("drm/ttm: Fix ttm_bo_shrink() infinite LRU walk on backup failure") tests "lret > 0", which is what was intended here as well. Before b2ed01e7ad3d the resource was taken off the bulk_move before the swapout; since then a swapped-out resource stays inside its BO's bulk_move range (and on the manager LRU) although it is unevictable. When it is later freed or the BO leaves the bulk_move (ttm_resource_free(), ttm_bo_set_bulk_move() via amdgpu_vm_bo_del()), ttm_resource_del_bulk_move() skips it because of its !ttm_resource_unevictable() guard, so a range endpoint in pos->first / pos->last is left pointing at freed memory. The next ttm_lru_bulk_move_tail() or ttm_resource_add_bulk_move() on that cursor is a use-after-free, seen as the resv WARN in ttm_lru_bulk_move_add(), "list_del corruption" in ttm_resource_move_to_lru_tail() or a NULL dereference in ttm_resource_manager_next() -- minutes to hours after a hibernation, or at process exit / reboot following one. Samuel Ainsworth's analysis of drm/amd issue 5387 (see Link) identified the dangling cursor; the missing removal at swapout time is the reason it dangles. Testing the condition for success restores the removal. On an AMD Phoenix APU (ASUS UM3406GA, gfx1103) running suspend-then-hibernate on a 7.0.y stable kernel carrying the backport (Ubuntu 7.0.0-31) the bug crashed 5 of 18 hibernation cycles; a function profile of one hibernation showed 336 ttm_tt_swapout() calls and zero ttm_resource_del_bulk_move_unevictable() calls. With this change the removal happens for every swapped-out resource and 12 further cycles were clean.

  27. CVE-2026-102761 9.3 Critique

    Eclipse Foundation NetX Duo

NetX Duo's WebSocket client resets the unmasking cursor to the first `NX_PACKET` each time it advances through a chained packet, while the loop's upper bound belongs to the current packet. With the standard contiguous packet-pool layout, a masked server frame split across two packets therefore drives the XOR loop through the first packet's unused payload area and on through the second packet's `NX_PACKET` control block. The four-byte WebSocket masking key controls the bytes written, so the corruption is attacker-chosen rather than incidental.

  28. CVE-2026-18747 6.8 Moyenne

    zephyrproject zephyr

The MCUmgr SMP-over-console transport decodes a base64 frame, reads a 16-bit packet length from it, verifies a CRC and then unconditionally strips the trailing CRC with rx_ctxt->nb->len -= 2U; in mcumgr_serial_process_frag() (subsys/mgmt/mcumgr/transport/src/serial_util.c). mcumgr_serial_extract_len() accepted any declared length, including 0 and 1, and a packet declaring length 0 passes the checksum test for free because crc16_itu_t() over zero bytes returns the zero seed. Since net_buf::len is a uint16_t, the subtraction underflows and the buffer is handed to SMP claiming roughly 65 KB of payload while its data area is only CONFIG_MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_NETBUF_SIZE bytes (default 384). The trigger is a single unauthenticated 7-byte line on the management console — the 0x06 0x09 packet marker followed by the base64 group AAA= and a newline — delivered to any transport built on this helper: CONFIG_MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_UART (smp_uart.c) or CONFIG_MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_SHELL (smp_shell.c), both of which select MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_SERIAL_HAS_SMP_OVER_CONSOLE. No prior session state, fragmentation or credentials are required to trigger the underflow, and the malformed frame is mishandled before any command handler or command-level access control runs. The attacker only needs write access to that console, which on many boards is a USB CDC-ACM port rather than a bare UART header. With the inflated length, smp_process_request_packet() in subsys/mgmt/mcumgr/smp/src/smp.c loses its bound: cbor_nb_reader_init() gives the CBOR decoder a ~65 KB window into a 384-byte buffer, and each request header's nh_len is checked only against the inflated length. On its own the 7-byte frame re-parses whatever stale bytes the reused pool buffer still holds, typically a replay of the previously received request followed by a parse error, without leaving the buffer. Because the transport is unauthenticated, though, the attacker also controls the frames sent before the trigger, and can stage buffer contents so that a request succeeds with an nh_len larger than the buffer; net_buf_pull(), guarded only by __ASSERT_NO_MSG, then moves the parse cursor out of bounds and the loop reads further headers and CBOR from adjacent memory. The consequence is an out-of-bounds read that can fault the MCUmgr thread (denial of service); memory disclosure is also possible, since the default-enabled os echo handler (CONFIG_MCUMGR_GRP_OS_ECHO) decodes its string inside that window and copies it into its response. There is no integrity gain beyond what the unauthenticated transport already permits. The fix rejects any declared packet length of two bytes or fewer in mcumgr_serial_extract_len(), so the CRC-strip subtraction can no longer underflow. The identical pattern remains in the test-only loopback transport subsys/mgmt/mcumgr/transport/src/smp_dummy.c (CONFIG_MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_DUMMY), which has no external input path and therefore carries no practical exposure.

    fleetdm fleet

Fleet before 4.89.0 contains an SQL injection vulnerability in the activity list endpoints (GET /api/v1/fleet/activities and GET /api/v1/fleet/hosts/{id}/activities). The deprecated cursor-pagination helper appendListOptionsWithCursorToSQL interpolated the caller-supplied sort/order key into the SQL ORDER BY clause without an allowlist, so an authenticated user with read access to Activity could order results by arbitrary columns. The impact is read-only and bounded to columns on the activity_past table that are not otherwise returned in these responses (e.g. details), allowing their values to be inferred through the resulting sort order; there is no write access, privilege escalation, or reachability of node_key or other host-join columns through these endpoints. Fixed in 4.89.0, which removes the deprecated helper and passes the sort column through SanitizeColumn.

  30. CVE-2026-97583 7.5 Élevée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: afs: Clear stale peer app data after address list changes afs_fs_probe_fileserver() fetches the current endpoint state under server->fs_lock, but leaves old_alist as NULL. Consequently, afs_set_peer_appdata() treats every address list replacement as initial setup and only binds the new peers; it never unbinds peers removed from the old list. An address refresh can therefore proceed as follows. CPU 0 replaces server S's list and drops Pold without clearing Pold->app_data. The server destroyer then clears only S's current peers and lets S reach its RCU callback. After the callback frees S, CPU 1 handles a callback through an RxRPC connection that still pins Pold, reads Pold->app_data, and calls afs_use_server() on the freed object. KASAN reported: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in afs_find_server+0x3c/0xa0 Read of size 4 at addr ffff8881013e1af0 by task krxrpcio/7001/74 Call Trace: afs_find_server+0x3c/0xa0 afs_rx_new_call+0x15c/0x390 rxrpc_new_incoming_call+0x97c/0x1730 rxrpc_input_packet.constprop.0+0xd03/0xec0 rxrpc_io_thread+0x967/0x1640 Allocated by task 93: afs_lookup_server+0x1a7/0x14c0 afs_alloc_server_list+0x43f/0xb60 afs_create_volume+0x923/0x1490 afs_get_tree+0x1c6/0x10a0 Freed by task 0: kfree+0x131/0x3c0 rcu_core+0x50a/0x1850 Last potentially related work creation: __call_rcu_common.constprop.0+0x71/0xa10 afs_put_server+0x213/0x2b0 Preserve old->addresses for the peer app-data update so that removed peers are cleared before the endpoint state is replaced. Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: fix the rtrmap and rtrefcount _maxlevels_ondisk functions The _maxlevels_ondisk functions are used to compute the size of in-memory btree cursors for each btree type. Unfortunately, LOLLM noticed that the rtrmap and rtrefcount versions of these functions forget to account for the inode root, which means that we could access beyond the end of the cursor given a sufficiently large btree. Fix this.

  32. CVE-2026-93228 9.1 Critique

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: svcrdma: Reject Write/Reply chunks with segcount 0 A peer can send a Write or Reply chunk whose segcount field is zero. xdr_check_write_chunk() only rejects segcount > rc_maxpages, so zero passes the range check, and xdr_inline_decode(stream, 0) returns the current (non-NULL) cursor without advancing. The function returns true and pcl_alloc_write() then links a struct svc_rdma_chunk with ch_segcount == 0 onto rc_write_pcl or rc_reply_pcl. An earlier patch in this series made pcl_for_each_segment() safe for ch_segcount == 0, so this no longer drives the memory walk it used to. Rejecting the malformed frame at the decode boundary is still worthwhile as defense in depth: it keeps degenerate zero-segment chunks off the parsed chunk lists entirely, so any future consumer that walks ch_segments directly cannot observe one, and it makes the zero-floor easy to backport to trees where the macro change is more intrusive. RFC 8166 has no meaning for a Write/Reply chunk that describes no remote buffer, so no legitimate client is affected. xdr_check_reply_chunk() funnels Reply chunks through xdr_check_write_chunk() and inherits the same rejection. pcl_alloc_write() also links each chunk onto the parsed chunk list before filling its segment array. If a future change weakens the segcount-0 rejection, an incomplete chunk is visible to consumers during the fill loop. Reorder so that list_add_tail() follows the segment fill loop, ensuring only fully-populated chunks appear on the list.

  33. CVE-2026-77616 6.1 Moyenne

    SemanticMediaWiki

Semantic MediaWiki is a free, open-source extension to MediaWiki that lets users store and query data within the wiki's pages. In versions 7.0.0 through 7.1.0, `Special:Ask` accepts a `cursor` query parameter for keyset pagination (added in 7.0.0). The token is decoded by `CursorEncoder`, which is an **unsigned** base64url-encoded JSON blob, so its contents are fully attacker-controlled. When the cursor's sort anchor does not match the request's `sort=` / `order=`, `QueryCreator::applyCursorIfRequested()` builds an error message by interpolating the attacker-controlled `sort_prop` / `sort_order` values into a raw string via `Query::addErrors()`. Unlike SMW's message-key errors, this raw string bypasses the message layer's sanitization (`ProcessingErrorMsgHandler::normalizeAndDecodeMessages()` passes a non-key, non-encoded string through unchanged). `ErrorWidget::queryError()` then assembles the errors and passes them to `Html::errorBox()`, whose first argument is emitted as raw HTML. The result is a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability: a crafted `cursor` token containing markup in `sort_prop` (or `sort_order`) executes script in the victim's browser on the wiki origin. No authentication or special permission is required. The payload is delivered via a crafted link. Version 7.2.0 contains a fix.

  35. CVE-2026-93122 7.8 Élevée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: gadget: uac: validate rate list length before storing UAC1 and UAC2 configfs rate-list attributes parse a comma-separated list of sampling rates and store each parsed value in fixed-size arrays. The arrays have UAC_MAX_RATES entries, but the store paths do not check that the input contains at most that many tokens before writing through opts->name##s[i++]. Writing more than ten rates therefore writes past the end of the p_srates[] or c_srates[] array in struct f_uac1_opts or struct f_uac2_opts. With CONFIG_UBSAN_BOUNDS enabled, writing an 11-entry rate list to the UAC1 p_srate attribute reports: UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds drivers/usb/gadget/function/f_uac1.c:1669:1 index 10 is out of range for type 'int [10]' __ubsan_handle_out_of_bounds.cold f_uac1_opts_p_srate_store configfs_write_iter vfs_write ksys_write do_syscall_64 The same reproducer against the UAC2 p_srate attribute reports: UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds drivers/usb/gadget/function/f_uac2.c:2087:1 index 10 is out of range for type 'int [10]' __ubsan_handle_out_of_bounds.cold f_uac2_opts_p_srate_store configfs_write_iter vfs_write ksys_write do_syscall_64 Reject additional tokens once UAC_MAX_RATES entries have been parsed. Also keep the original kstrdup() pointer for kfree(), because strsep() advances the parsing cursor. Freeing the advanced cursor leaks the original buffer on successful parses and can free an interior pointer on some error paths.

  36. CVE-2026-92522 7.3 Élevée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ACPI: processor: validate MADT IOAPIC entry bounds The IOAPIC hotplug lookup parses both MADT and _MAT records directly. The MADT walk previously used a subtable's declared length to advance the cursor after only locating a generic header. The _MAT path likewise passed a generic header to the IOAPIC helper. Validate that a current record has a complete generic header, that its declared length is contained in the available record range, and that a typed IOAPIC record contains the full fixed IOAPIC body before reading its fields. Use the same relation for both MADT and _MAT provider paths.

  37. CVE-2026-63126 7.5 Élevée

    square wire

Wire provides gRPC and protocol buffers for Android, Kotlin, Swift, and Java. Prior to 6.4.5 and 7.0.0-alpha04, Wire protobuf readers do not consistently validate attacker-controlled lengths against the current logical message boundary before advancing cursors, pointers, limits, slices, or allocations. In Kotlin, ProtoAdapter.decode(ByteArray) and ProtoAdapter.decode(ByteString) use ByteArrayProtoReader32.internalNextLengthDelimited(), where a positive oversized length can wrap pos + length to a negative limit and escape the existing negative-length check. Related ProtoReader, ReadBuffer.readVarint(), ReadBuffer.verifyAdditional(count:), packed-repeated, nested-message, and ProtoDecoder.decodeSizeDelimited(_:from:) paths can cross logical boundaries, perform pointer arithmetic, reserve capacity, or convert an unrepresentable size before proving the requested bytes exist. An attacker who supplies malformed protobuf bytes can cause unchecked exceptions, traps, out-of-bounds behavior, or excessive allocation, resulting in denial of service without known confidentiality, integrity, or code-execution impact. This issue is fixed in versions 6.4.5 and 7.0.0-alpha04.

  38. CVE-2026-90048 9.8 Critique

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: fix slab-out-of-bounds write in ni_create_attr_list() ni_create_attr_list() allocates a fixed buffer of al_aligned(record_size) (== record_size) bytes and then walks every attribute of the primary MFT record, writing one ATTR_LIST_ENTRY per attribute and advancing the cursor by le_size(name_len), with no check against the end of the buffer; the total size is only computed after the loop. A minimum-size resident attribute occupies SIZEOF_RESIDENT (0x18 = 24) bytes on disk, but an unnamed attribute expands to le_size(0) (0x20 = 32) bytes in the list. Because the number of attributes in a record is not bounded (mi_enum_attr() accepts arbitrarily many equal-type, nameless minimum-size attributes), a crafted record packed with such attributes produces a list larger than record_size and overflows the heap buffer. This is reachable from a crafted, loop-mounted NTFS image: opening the file and adding an attribute (e.g. via setxattr) drives ntfs_set_ea() -> ni_insert_resident() -> ni_insert_attr() -> ni_ins_attr_ext() -> ni_create_attr_list(). 39. CVE-2026-89778 9.8 Critique

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: isofs: fix out-of-bounds page array access on empty zisofs block zisofs_uncompress_block()'s empty-block fast path returns pcount << PAGE_SHIFT, ignoring the incoming poffset, unlike the decompression path which returns bytes produced relative to poffset. zisofs_fill_pages() uses that return to advance its page cursor, so when the zisofs block size is below PAGE_SIZE and a sub-page block leaves poffset partway into a page, a following empty block over-counts and advances pages[] one element past its end, after which "if (poffset && *pages)" reads pages[1] out of bounds. rock.c only rejects a block-size shift > 17, so a crafted "ZF" Rock Ridge record can set it below PAGE_SHIFT; the bug is reached by an ordinary read() of a compressed file on such a mounted ISO9660 image. Return the byte count relative to poffset and zero only [poffset, PAGE_SIZE) of the first page, matching the decompression path. The page-aligned case (poffset == 0) is unaffected. 40. CVE-2026-59971 10.0 Critique

    designcomputer mysql_mcp_server

MySQL MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol server that enables secure interaction with MySQL databases. Prior to 0.4.2, setting MCP_TRANSPORT=sse causes src/mysql_mcp_server/server.py to construct SseServerTransport without security_settings or enable_dns_rebinding_protection, while the Starlette routes /, /sse, and /messages/ have no authentication and the service binds to 0.0.0.0 by default. A network attacker can directly reach execute_sql, or can use DNS rebinding to make a victim's browser relay same-origin requests to a locally bound service, and supply a query that reaches cursor.execute(query). This allows unauthenticated disclosure and modification of the configured database; when the MySQL account has FILE privileges, the same access can read or write server files and may enable code execution. The default stdio transport is not affected. This issue is fixed in 0.4.2.

Attackers can supply a MAP32 element count at or above 0x40000000 that wraps when doubled, causing the parser cursor to desynchronize and attacker-controlled data to be returned in place of later fields.

  42. CVE-2026-89704 7.5 Élevée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: sample writeback error cursor before async COPY loop _nfsd_copy_file_range() samples dst->f_wb_err into "since" after the copy loop, then uses it to detect writeback errors via filemap_check_wb_err() once vfs_fsync_range() returns. Because the nfsd_file cache reuses a single struct file across requests targeting the same inode, a concurrent COMMIT or stable WRITE on dst advances dst->f_wb_err to the current mapping->wb_err via file_check_and_advance_wb_err() during its own vfs_fsync_range(). If that advancement lands between the writeback error appearing in mapping->wb_err and the COPY worker sampling "since", the worker captures the already-advanced cursor, errseq_check() sees cur == since and returns zero, and NFSD4_COPY_F_COMMITTED is set even though writeback failed. CB_OFFLOAD then encodes wr_stable_how = FILE_SYNC4, the client treats the copied data as durable, and the failure becomes silent data loss. Sample since once at the start of the function. The cursor then reflects state in effect before this COPY issues any writes, and filemap_check_wb_err() detects any error that occurs during the copy regardless of which thread first observes it. This matches the pattern used by nfsd_vfs_write() and nfsd4_clone_file_range().

  43. CVE-2026-89657 7.5 Élevée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: validate OSD extent maps before cursor advance net/ceph/osd_client.c:osd_sparse_read() validates that the sparse-read data length matches the summed extent lengths, but it does not validate that each OSD-supplied extent is monotonic and lies inside the original request range. A malformed authenticated OSD reply can advertise a far-forward nonzero extent offset with a matching data length and make the client advance the message-data cursor beyond the request buffer. This reaches the BUG_ON(!*length) assertion in ceph_msg_data_next() from the client receive path. Impact: A malicious or compromised authenticated Ceph OSD peer can crash a kernel Ceph client via a malformed sparse-read reply. Reject sparse extent maps that overflow, move backwards, overlap, or extend outside the original sparse-read request before advancing the cursor. 44. CVE-2026-89650 9.1 Critique

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ceph: bound num_export_targets array for mds info v2/v3 ceph_mdsmap_decode() in fs/ceph/mdsmap.c reads num_export_targets from each per-mds info record and advances the decode cursor by num_export_targets * sizeof(u32) without first checking that many bytes remain. The only upper-bound check that catches a runaway cursor (*p > info_end) is gated on info_v >= 4, because info_end is left NULL for info_v 2 and 3. When the monitor sends an MDS map whose per-mds info version is 2 or 3 with an oversized num_export_targets, the cursor moves past the message front buffer and the later export-targets loop calls the unchecked ceph_decode_32() on out-of-bounds memory. A kernel client processes CEPH_MSG_MDS_MAP from its monitor session (net/ceph/mon_client.c dispatches it; fs/ceph/super.c routes it to ceph_mdsc_handle_mdsmap(), which sets end to the front buffer bound and calls ceph_mdsmap_decode()). A malicious or compromised monitor, or an on-path attacker on an unsigned/unencrypted messenger session, can therefore drive an out-of-bounds read in the client kernel; on x86_64 with KASAN it is reported as a slab-out-of-bounds read in ceph_mdsmap_decode(). The decoded values land in the internal info->export_targets[] array, so the consequence is a kernel out-of-bounds read, not an information leak to the attacker. Impact: a malicious or compromised Ceph monitor sending an MDS map with a per-mds info version of 2 or 3 and an oversized num_export_targets field triggers an out-of-bounds read in the CephFS client kernel. Add a ceph_decode_need() for the export-targets array before advancing the cursor, so the bound is enforced for every info_v >= 2, not only info_v >= 4. This mirrors the count-then-need idiom already used for m_data_pg_pools later in the same function. Compute the export-targets byte count with size_mul() and reuse that checked length when advancing the cursor, so the attacker-controlled num_export_targets multiplication fails closed on overflow rather than relying on the later kcalloc() guard.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm array: validate array block headers on read array_block_check() validates blocknr and csum and nothing else, while node_check(), next to it, has bounded the structural fields since both were written. dm_array_cursor_next() takes its loop bound from the on-disk nr_entries and element_at() is unguarded pointer arithmetic, so a count larger than the block holds keeps the cursor in one block while the index grows past it and the read walks off the dm-bufio buffer -- dm_cache_load_mappings() drives it once per cache block at activation. Check the header against itself: reject a zero value_size, require max_entries to equal calc_max_entries() for that value_size and block size, and require nr_entries to fit. Equality rather than an upper bound, since a count below the real capacity trips BUG_ON() in fill_ablock() and trim_ablock(). Metadata dm-array writes satisfies all three.

  47. CVE-2026-89485 9.8 Critique

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: lockd: pin next file across nlm_inspect_file lock-drop nlm_traverse_files() pins the current file with f_count++ across a mutex_unlock for nlm_inspect_file(), but nothing pins the saved next pointer. A concurrent nlm_release_file() can kfree the next file during the unlock window, and the iterator dereferences freed memory on the next loop step. Pin both current and next before the lock-drop. Advance by swapping the pinned cursors at the end of each iteration so next is always held alive across the unlock. Always call nlm_file_release() after dropping the iteration pin, regardless of whether the file matched the predicate. Use nlm_file_inuse(), which does a live walk of the inode lock list, rather than the cached f_locks field, so skipped files that never ran nlm_inspect_file() are evaluated correctly. Because every file in a hash bucket is now pinned and released, files skipped by the is_failover_file predicate that have no locks, blocks, shares, or external references are deleted during traversal. The old code never evaluated skipped files for cleanup. The new behavior is intentional: such files are stale and should not persist in the table.

  48. CVE-2026-44950 9.0 Critique

    SUSE Container suse/kiosk/tigervnc-x11vnc:1.14-63.8 · SUSE Container suse/kiosk/xorg:21.1-83.7 · SUSE Image SLES15-SP6-SAP · SUSE Image SLES15-SP6-SAP-Azure

fs_read_glyphs() in the libXfont2 font-server client (src/fc/fserve.c) copies each glyph's bitmap into a single buffer. Existing checks validates only that the source slice (position, length) lies within the source bitmap buffer. It does not check whether the running destination cursor has exceeded the allocation. A malicious font server can send overlapping source offsets -- for example 1000 glyphs each referencing {position:0, length:64} with nbytes=64. Each individual source range passes the existing validation, but the cumulative writes total 64000 bytes into a 64-byte destination buffer. This is a heap buffer overflow with attacker-controlled content.

  49. CVE-2026-82063 5.3 Moyenne

    MongoDB Server · Mongodb mongodb

A use-after-free security issue in the cursor management component of MongoDB Server allows an authenticated user to cause a denial of service. Under specific timing conditions during cursor operations, a stale pointer to a freed resource may be retained and subsequently dereferenced during cursor cleanup, leading to a server process crash.

  50. CVE-2026-82710 2.3 Faible

    ash-project usage_rules

Improper Neutralization of Escape, Meta, or Control Sequences vulnerability in ash-project usage_rules allows a malicious package publisher to inject terminal control sequences into the output of mix usage_rules.search_docs. mix usage_rules.search_docs searches Hex documentation through search.hexdocs.pm, which indexes the documentation of every published package, and prints the matching results (title, package, type, doc reference, and highlighted snippets) to the terminal. The formatter in Mix.Tasks.UsageRules.SearchDocs interpolated those publisher-controlled fields verbatim, neutralizing no terminal control characters; the only transform it applied adds escape sequences rather than removing them. A malicious package can embed ANSI terminal escape sequences (cursor movement, line erase, carriage returns, OSC 52 clipboard writes) in its indexed documentation, so when a developer runs a search that surfaces those docs the sequences reach the terminal unchanged — forging the displayed hexdocs URL or a suggested command, hiding text, or writing to the clipboard. No authentication or privileged position is required; only publishing a package. This issue affects usage_rules: from 0.1.18 before 1.2.8.

  51. CVE-2026-82584 2.3 Faible

    ash-project igniter

Improper Neutralization of Escape, Meta, or Control Sequences vulnerability in ash-project igniter allows a malicious package publisher to forge the mix igniter.install confirmation prompt. mix igniter.install prints a confirmation panel (an anti-typosquatting safeguard) listing a package's hex metadata before adding it. The panel builder in Igniter.Project.Deps wrote publisher-controlled fields (meta.description, owner usernames, requirement names, version) to the terminal with only newlines stripped. A malicious or typosquatted package can embed ANSI terminal escape sequences (cursor movement, line erase, carriage returns) in its metadata to overwrite the panel, forging trusted author names and download counts while concealing the real ones, so a developer relying on the panel to vet the package is deceived into approving a malicious dependency. This issue affects igniter: from 0.8.1 before 0.8.4.

  52. CVE-2026-85730 8.2 Élevée

    squirrelchat smol-toml

smol-toml is a small, fast, and correct TOML parser and serializer. Prior to 1.7.1, parse() can enter an infinite loop when a value inside an array or inline table is followed by a comment with no trailing newline. In src/util.ts, skipUntil() calls indexOfNewline(), receives -1 at the end of input, and resets the cursor to the beginning of the string instead of leaving the structure scan. The parser then hangs indefinitely and can consume a service's processing capacity when an application parses attacker-controlled TOML. This issue is fixed in version 1.7.1.

  53. CVE-2026-9186 6.5 Moyenne

IBM Langflow OSS · Langflow langflow

IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.11.2 allows remote authenticated attackers to bypass localhost-only MCP configuration installation by spoofing X-Forwarded-For: 127.0.0.1 header, enabling arbitrary writes to IDE config files (~/.cursor/mcp.json, etc.).

  54. CVE-2026-85093 6.5 Moyenne

    cheshire-cat-ai core

Cheshire Cat AI's GET /memory/collections/{collection_id}/points endpoint fails to apply per-user filtering when retrieving episodic memory points. Authenticated attackers with MEMORY:READ permission can retrieve all users' stored conversation messages and personal data by paginating through the collection using the offset cursor.

  55. CVE-2026-53600 6.3 Moyenne

    dignifiedquire async-tar

async-tar is a tar archive reading/writing library for async Rust. Prior to version 0.6.1, async-tar mis-applies a buffered PAX size extension to an intermediary extension header (a GNU longname L, a GNU longlink K, or a PAX x/g header) instead of to the next file entry. POSIX requires a PAX extended-header record set to describe the next file entry, never an intervening extension header. Because poll_next_raw (src/archive.rs) threads the buffered PAX records into the size computation of whatever raw header it reads next — and that header can be an intermediary L — the stream cursor is advanced by an attacker-chosen amount when the L body is consumed. The parser then desyncs relative to a POSIX-correct tar parser (e.g. GNU tar), reading subsequent bytes at the wrong block boundary. This issue has been patched in version 0.6.1.

  56. CVE-2026-83497 8.8 Élevée

    OpenSearch · Amazon OpenSearch Service

Unrestricted deserialization of untrusted data in the cursor pagination component in the OpenSearch SQL plugin allows a remote authenticated user with basic read/search permissions to execute arbitrary code on the server by sending a crafted cursor parameter to the plugins/sql endpoint.

  57. CVE-2026-81532 8.8 Élevée

    MongoDB BI Connector ODBC Driver

A user able to submit SQL through an application using the MongoDB Connector for BI ODBC driver can supply a positioned-cursor statement whose cursor name exceeds the size of an internal fixed-length buffer. Because the name length is not bounded before the driver builds its diagnostic message, memory adjacent to that buffer is overwritten with user-supplied content. This can terminate the hosting application process and may allow unintended code to run within it.

  58. CVE-2026-18393 5.4 Moyenne

Red Hat Enterprise Linux AI (RHEL AI) 3 · Red Hat OpenShift AI (RHOAI)

A flaw was found in FFmpeg. The tdsc_load_cursor() function writes beyond the bounds of a heap-allocated buffer when processing crafted TDSC cursor data. A remote attacker could exploit this by supplying a specially crafted video file, potentially leading to a denial of service or arbitrary code execution.

  59. CVE-2026-80701 – Non évaluée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vmwgfx: enforce cursor size limits for MOB cursors vmw_cursor_plane_atomic_check() bounds cursor width and height only on the legacy update path; the SVGA_CAP2_CURSOR_MOB path -- the default on modern hosts -- accepts any size. When the requested size exceeds SVGA_REG_CURSOR_MAX_DIMENSION or SVGA_REG_MOB_MAX_SIZE, vmw_cursor_mob_get() returns -EINVAL and leaves vps->cursor.mob NULL. Its return value is then discarded in vmw_cursor_plane_prepare_fb(), so the subsequent vmw_cursor_update_mob() calls vmw_bo_map_and_cache(NULL) and oopses inside vmw_bo_map_and_cache_size() on the tbo.base.size load. Reachable from any DRM master via DRM_IOCTL_MODE_CURSOR2 with a sufficiently large width or height (e.g. cursor_max_dim + 1). Reject oversized cursors in atomic_check for both MOB-backed cursor update types. The MOB byte-size limit only applies to the SVGA_CAP2_CURSOR_MOB path (vmw_cursor_mob_size() returns 0 for GB_ONLY); compute the required MOB size in 64-bit to avoid overflow when very large dimensions are requested. In prepare_fb only call vmw_cursor_mob_get()/_map() for VMW_CURSOR_UPDATE_MOB -- the GB_ONLY path uses bo->map.virtual directly and would otherwise be silently downgraded to NONE on hosts without SVGA_CAP2_CURSOR_MOB (where vmw_cursor_mob_get() always returns -EINVAL). Degrade the update to NONE if vmw_cursor_mob_get() or vmw_cursor_mob_map() fails so the update path does not run with a NULL backing MOB.

  60. CVE-2026-81694 3.3 Faible

jahlives openssl_encrypt · Jahlives openssl encrypt

openssl-encrypt (pip package, versions <= 1.4.8) fails to sanitize filenames read from untrusted drive data (outside the AES-GCM authenticated manifest) before printing them in the verify-usb command's output. An attacker can plant filenames containing terminal cursor-movement and erase-line control bytes that repaint a forged PASSED verdict on screen, masking actual tamper detection. Fixed in 1.4.9 by routing drive-derived names through sanitize_for_display().

  61. CVE-2026-46371 6.5 Moyenne

    fleetdm fleet

Fleet is an open-source device management platform built on osquery. In versions up to and including 4.84.1, the Apple MDM commands listing endpoint (GET /api/v1/fleet/mdm/apple/commands) allowed an authenticated user with the lowest-privilege Observer role to extract sensitive values from joined database tables, including host enrollment secrets and Apple Push Notification Service tokens, through a sort-order oracle. The endpoint accepted a user-supplied order_key parameter that was not validated against a column allowlist, and because the underlying query joins the hosts and nano_enrollments tables, an attacker could set the sort column to a sensitive field and combine it with the cursor-based after parameter to binary-search the value one character at a time, with the presence or absence of results revealing each character even though the value never appeared in the response. With extracted node_key or orbit_node_key values an attacker could impersonate enrolled hosts to Fleet's osquery and Orbit endpoints, submit fabricated host data, and retrieve pending scripts and commands. This issue is fixed in version 4.84.2.

  62. CVE-2026-46370 6.5 Moyenne

    fleetdm fleet

Fleet is an open-source device management platform built on osquery. In versions up to and including 4.84.1, the labels host-listing endpoint (GET /api/v1/fleet/labels/{id}/hosts) allowed an authenticated user with the lowest-privilege Observer role to extract host enrollment secrets through a sort-order oracle. The endpoint accepted a user-supplied order_key parameter that was not validated against a column allowlist, so an attacker with Global or Team Observer access could set the sort column to a sensitive field such as h.node_key and combine it with the cursor-based after parameter to binary-search the value one character at a time; the targeted value never appeared in the response, but the presence or absence of results revealed each character. Because node_key and orbit_node_key are the long-lived shared secrets that osquery and Orbit agents use to authenticate to the Fleet server, an attacker who reconstructed them could impersonate enrolled hosts, submit fabricated query results and inventory, retrieve pending scripts and MDM commands, and poison compliance and policy results across the deployment. This issue is fixed in version 4.84.2.

  63. CVE-2026-80537 7.8 Élevée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: fix off-by-one in rtrefcount btree root level validation xfs_rtrefcountbt_compute_maxlevels() sets mp->m_rtrefc_maxlevels = min(d_maxlevels, r_maxlevels) + 1; where the trailing "+ 1" already accounts for the inode-root level, so the deepest valid on-disk root level is m_rtrefc_maxlevels - 1 and a cursor must satisfy bc_nlevels <= bc_maxlevels (= m_rtrefc_maxlevels). The two on-disk validation paths, xfs_rtrefcountbt_verify() and xfs_iformat_rtrefcount(), check the root level with ">" instead of ">=", so a crafted rtreflink (metadir + realtime + reflink) image whose /rtgroups/N.refcount inode has bb_level == m_rtrefc_maxlevels is accepted on mount. xfs_rtrefcountbt_init_cursor() then sets bc_nlevels = bb_level + 1, exceeding bc_maxlevels by one. Since the xfs_rtrefcountbt_cur slab object is sized for exactly bc_maxlevels entries, the first btree op on such a cursor indexes bc_levels[m_rtrefc_maxlevels] past the end of the object. This is reached by the first rtrefcount cursor built after mount, via log/CoW recovery (xfs_reflink_recover_cow() during xfs_mountfs()) or an FS_IOC_GETFSMAP over the realtime device. Reject a root level equal to m_rtrefc_maxlevels, matching the ">=" form already used by the sibling data-device refcount/rmap verifiers and the in-memory rtrmap verifier. 64. CVE-2026-74635 7.8 Élevée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbdev: bitblit: bound-check glyph index in bit_cursor() bit_cursor() fetches the glyph under the cursor with c = scr_readw(vc_pos); src = vc_font.data + ((c & charmask) * w * height); where charmask is 0x1ff when vc_hi_font_mask is set. The screen buffer value comes directly from scr_readw() and may be larger than the current font's glyph count. Syzkaller triggers this via vcs_write(). The Call Trace shows vcs_write() in vc_screen.c writing an arbitrary 16-bit value with writev() to /dev/vcsa, which vcs_write_buf() in vc_screen.c stores via vcs_scr_writew() without checking charcount. The stored value is later read in bit_cursor() in bitblit.c. When the font is changed from a font with 512 glyphs to a font with 256 glyphs, the screen buffer can retain characters with the high bit set from the previous mode, which could also produce the same out-of-bounds access. BUG: KASAN: global-out-of-bounds in soft_cursor+0x378/0x6bc drivers/video/fbdev/core/softcursor.c:70 Read of size 16 at addr ffff800086c57970 Call Trace: soft_cursor+0x378/0x6bc drivers/video/fbdev/core/softcursor.c:70 bit_cursor+0xa90/0x1108 drivers/video/fbdev/core/bitblit.c:365 fbcon_cursor+0x344/0x498 drivers/video/fbdev/core/fbcon.c:1427 hide_cursor+0xdc/0x2d0 drivers/tty/vt/vt.c:883 update_region+0x100/0x18c drivers/tty/vt/vt.c:669 vcs_write+0x8ec/0xaf0 drivers/tty/vt/vc_screen.c:685 bit_putcs_aligned() and bit_putcs_unaligned() already clamp the glyph index to vc_font.charcount. Apply the same clamp in bit_cursor() after extracting the attribute and masking, before indexing fontdata. The fix completes the bounds checking started in commit 18c4ef4e765a ("fbdev: bitblit: bound-check glyph index in bit_putcs*"), which missed the cursor path. This change should be safe because the clamp reuses the existing contract from fbcon: charcount is maintained under console_lock in con_font_set() and fbcon_font_set(), and hi_font_mask is cleared when switching from 512 to 256 glyphs. When stale screen data with high bits remains after a font switch, or when vcs_write() stores an arbitrary value, clamping the index to 0 prevents the out-of-bounds read without changing cursor semantics — the same fallback bit_putcs uses.

    Amazon Ion Java

Uncontrolled memory allocation in the binary Ion stream cursor in Amazon ion-java before 1.12.0 might allow remote actors to cause a denial of service via a crafted Ion binary document containing a declared-length field that causes excessive heap preallocation. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 1.12.0.

  66. CVE-2026-74478 9.8 Critique

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: um: vector: fix use-after-free in vector_mmsg_rx() When vector_mmsg_rx() discards a packet whose overlay header fails verify_header(), it frees the skb and continues the loop: if (header_check < 0) { dev_kfree_skb_irq(skb); vp->estats.rx_encaps_errors++; continue; } The normal and short-packet paths fall through to the bottom of the loop body, which clears the consumed slot and advances the cursors: (*skbuff_vector) = NULL; mmsg_vector++; skbuff_vector++; The verify_header() < 0 path skips that via continue, so the freed skb is left in skbuff_vector[] and the cursors do not advance. The next iteration reads the same slot, gets the freed skb, and frees it again, producing a refcount underflow / use-after-free in the RX path. Discard the slot the same way the other paths do before continuing. Only transports whose verify_header() can return negative are affected: GRE and L2TPv3 do so on a cookie/session-id mismatch (raw/tap do not), so any peer on such a transport can trigger it without authentication.

  67. CVE-2026-74330 7.8 Élevée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: configfs: fix lockless traversals of ->s_children Having the parent directory locked protects entries from removal by another thread, but it does *not* protect cursors from being moved around by lseek() - or freed, for that matter.

  68. CVE-2026-72358 7.8 Élevée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/pt: prevent invalid cursor access for purged BOs During a page table walk for binding, xe_pt_stage_bind() explicitly skips initializing the xe_res_cursor for purged BOs, treating them similarly to NULL VMAs by only setting the cursor size. However, xe_pt_hugepte_possible() and xe_pt_scan_64K() did not check if the BO was purged before attempting to walk the cursor using xe_res_dma() and xe_res_next(). Because the cursor was left uninitialized for purged BOs, this falls through and triggers warnings like: WARNING: drivers/gpu/drm/xe/xe_res_cursor.h:274 at xe_res_next Fix this by explicitly checking if the BO is purged in both xe_pt_hugepte_possible() and xe_pt_scan_64K(), returning early just as we do for NULL VMAs, avoiding the invalid cursor accesses entirely. As a precaution, also zero-initialize the cursor in xe_pt_stage_bind() to ensure we don't pass garbage data into the page table walkers if we ever hit a similar edge case in the future. 69. CVE-2026-72135 7.8 Élevée

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tpm: Make the TPM character devices non-seekable The TPM character devices expose a sequential command/response interface, but their open handlers leave FMODE_PREAD and FMODE_PWRITE enabled. After a command leaves a response pending, pread(fd, buf, 16, 0x1400) passes 0x1400 as *off to tpm_common_read(). The transfer length is bounded by response_length, but the offset is used unchecked when forming data_buffer + *off. A sufficiently large offset therefore causes an out-of-bounds heap read through copy_to_user() and, if the copy succeeds, an out-of-bounds zero-write through the following memset(). Positional I/O does not provide coherent semantics for this interface. An arbitrary pread offset cannot represent how much of a response has been consumed sequentially. The write callback always stores a command at the start of data_buffer, while pwrite() does not update file->f_pos and can leave the sequential read cursor stale. Call nonseekable_open() from both open handlers. This removes FMODE_PREAD and FMODE_PWRITE, causing positional reads and writes to fail with -ESPIPE before reaching the TPM callbacks, and explicitly marks the files non-seekable. Normal read() and write() continue to use the existing sequential f_pos cursor, leaving the response state machine unchanged. Tested on Linux 6.12 with KASAN and a swtpm TPM2 device: - sequential partial reads returned the complete response - pread() and preadv() with offset 0x1400 returned -ESPIPE - pwrite() and pwritev() with offset zero returned -ESPIPE - the pending response remained intact after the rejected operations - a subsequent normal command/response cycle completed normally - no KASAN report was produced.

  71. CVE-2026-67579 7.4 Élevée

    ash-project ash · Ash-hq ash framework

Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in ash-project ash allows an unauthenticated attacker to inject a filter expression through a forged keyset pagination cursor, resulting in SQL injection or code execution depending on the data layer. Read actions with keyset pagination decode the client-supplied page[:after] or page[:before] cursor in decode_values/2 in lib/ash/page/keyset.ex using non_executable_binary_to_term/2 with [:safe]. That guard blocks new atoms, funs, and ports, but not a struct built from atoms already interned in a running Ash application, so a decoded %Ash.Query.Call{} expression survives and is spliced into the keyset filter as a comparison value in do_filters/4 and evaluated. Because the cursor bypasses the Ash.Expr macro, the runtime never applies the private?/public? gate that would otherwise reject it. On AshPostgres the injected fragment is inlined into the SQL query; on the ETS and Simple data layers it is evaluated in-process as an arbitrary function call. This issue affects ash: from 1.17.0 before 3.31.3.

This issue is fixed in version 3.1.2.

  74. CVE-2026-69659 5.5 Moyenne

    ash-project ash · Ash-hq ash framework

Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in ash-project ash allows an attacker to exhaust the memory of the node via a crafted keyset pagination cursor. Read actions with keyset pagination deserialize the client-supplied page[:after] or page[:before] cursor in decode_values/2 in lib/ash/page/keyset.ex, which base64-decodes the value and passes it to :erlang.binary_to_term/2 without bounding its size. The Erlang external term format supports zlib-compressed payloads, which the decoder inflates transparently, so a cursor of a few kilobytes can allocate tens of megabytes of heap in a single call. Ash itself only ever encodes cursors uncompressed, so the decoder accepts a term shape its encoder never produces. Concurrent requests aggregate these allocations and can terminate the node. This issue affects ash: from 1.17.0 before 3.31.1.

  75. CVE-2026-71847 8.7 Élevée

    ruby json

Ruby JSON is a JSON implementation for Ruby. From 2.20.0 until 2.21.2, Ruby's JSON native C extension clears the consumed JSON::ResumableParser input buffer but leaves state.start, state.cursor, and state.end pointing into released storage. When partial_value reconstructs an incomplete object containing duplicate keys, the duplicate-key warning path calls cursor_position, which dereferences those stale pointers. This results in a heap-use-after-free and can terminate the Ruby process. An attacker who can supply JSON stream data to an application using JSON::ResumableParser may cause process termination when the application calls partial_value on incomplete attacker-controlled input containing duplicate object keys. This issue has been fixed in version 2.21.2.

GNOME GIMP · Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 · Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 · Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7

A flaw was found in the file-icns plugin in GIMP. When applying a decompressed mask during ICNS image processing, the plugin reads from the mask data buffer without verifying if the cursor exceeds the allocated resource size. If a crafted file contains a truncated mask resource, the icns_decompress function continues reading past the bounds of the buffer. This out-of-bounds read vulnerability results in information disclosure of heap contents, where memory contents are leaked as alpha channel pixel values, or a crash leading to a denial of service if unmapped memory is accessed.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: misc: usbio: fix disconnect UAF in client teardown usbio_disconnect() walks usbio->cli_list in reverse and uninitializes each auxiliary device. auxiliary_device_uninit() drops the device reference, and for an unbound child that can run usbio_auxdev_release() and free the containing struct usbio_client. list_for_each_entry_reverse() advances after the loop body by reading client->link.prev. If the current client is freed by auxiliary_device_uninit(), the iterator dereferences freed memory. Use list_for_each_entry_safe_reverse() so the previous client is cached before the body can drop the final reference. This preserves reverse teardown order while keeping the next iterator cursor independent of the current client's lifetime. Linux · Linux linux kernel

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: consume only present negotiated TTLM maps ieee80211_tid_to_link_map_size_ok() validates negotiated TTLM elements against the number of link-map entries indicated by link_map_presence. ieee80211_parse_neg_ttlm() must consume the same layout. The parser advanced its cursor for every TID, including TIDs whose presence bit is clear and therefore have no map bytes in the element. A sparse map can then make a later present TID read past the validated element. The bad bytes land in neg_ttlm->{up,down}link[tid] but are gated by valid_links before being applied to driver state, so a peer cannot turn the read into a policy change. Under KUnit + KASAN with an exact-sized element allocation the OOB read is reported as a slab-out-of-bounds; whether the same trigger fires under the production RX path depends on surrounding allocator state. Advance the cursor only when the current TID has a map present.

If the auth responds very slowly and the records expire in between, the capping of TTLs is not enforced for lack of data. This does not happen on regular resolve as then then the child records are used immediately if not expired and thus valid, or the records are expired, and in that case not used. So this case can only happen if almost expired records are used to refresh the authoritative NS records.

  86. CVE-2026-59142 9.1 Critique

    EGOR Data::HashMap::Shared

Data::HashMap::Shared versions before 0.14 for Perl allow an out-of-bounds read via an unvalidated arena offset and length in shm_str_copy. The attach-time validator shm_validate_header checks the header scalars and region layout against the file size, but does not validate the array contents it then trusts. shm_str_copy does memcpy(dst, arena + off, len) with off and len read raw from the mmap'd segment and unbounded, on the each, keys, values, pop, shift, take, swap, drain and cursor paths. The get path bounds off and len separately and is not affected. A local peer that can write the backing file can leave the header valid while poisoning a record's offset and length, so iterating or draining the map copies a file-controlled offset and length out of the arena, reading adjacent memory or crashing the process.

    Linux · Linux linux kernel

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/virtio: use uninterruptible resv lock for plane updates virtio_gpu_cursor_plane_update() and virtio_gpu_resource_flush() lock the framebuffer BO's dma_resv via virtio_gpu_array_lock_resv() and ignore its return value. The function can fail with -EINTR from dma_resv_lock_interruptible() (signal during lock wait) or with -ENOMEM from dma_resv_reserve_fences() (fence slot allocation), leaving the resv lock not held. The queue path then walks the object array and calls dma_resv_add_fence(), which requires the lock held; with lockdep enabled this trips dma_resv_assert_held(): WARNING: drivers/dma-buf/dma-resv.c:296 at dma_resv_add_fence+0x71e/0x840 Call Trace: virtio_gpu_array_add_fence virtio_gpu_queue_ctrl_sgs virtio_gpu_queue_fenced_ctrl_buffer virtio_gpu_cursor_plane_update drm_atomic_helper_commit_planes drm_atomic_helper_commit_tail commit_tail drm_atomic_helper_commit drm_atomic_commit drm_atomic_helper_update_plane __setplane_atomic drm_mode_cursor_universal drm_mode_cursor_common drm_mode_cursor_ioctl drm_ioctl __x64_sys_ioctl Beyond the WARN, mutating the dma_resv fence list without the lock races with concurrent readers/writers and can corrupt the list. Both call sites run inside the .atomic_update plane callback, which DRM atomic helpers do not allow to fail (by the time it runs, the commit has been signed off to userspace and there is no clean rollback path). Moving the lock acquisition to .prepare_fb was rejected because the broader lock scope deadlocks against other BO locking paths in the same atomic commit. Introduce virtio_gpu_lock_one_resv_uninterruptible() that uses dma_resv_lock() instead of dma_resv_lock_interruptible(). This eliminates the -EINTR failure mode -- the realistic syzbot trigger -- without extending the lock hold across the commit. The helper locks a single BO and rejects nents > 1 with -EINVAL; both fix sites lock exactly one BO. Use it from virtio_gpu_cursor_plane_update() and virtio_gpu_resource_flush(); check the return value to handle the remaining -ENOMEM case from dma_resv_reserve_fences() by freeing the objs and skipping the plane update for that frame. The framebuffer BOs touched here are not shared with other contexts and lock contention is expected to be brief, so the loss of signal-interruptibility is acceptable. Other callers of virtio_gpu_array_lock_resv() (the ioctl paths) continue to use the interruptible variant. The bug was reported by syzbot, triggered via fault injection (fail_nth) on the DRM_IOCTL_MODE_CURSOR path, which forces the -ENOMEM branch in dma_resv_reserve_fences().

    Linux

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: fcoe: Reject FIP descriptors with zero fip_dlen in CVL walker drivers/scsi/fcoe/fcoe_ctlr.c::fcoe_ctlr_recv_clr_vlink() advanced the descriptor cursor by an attacker-supplied fip_dlen without ever requiring dlen >= sizeof(struct fip_desc) in the default branch. The named descriptor cases (FIP_DT_MAC, FIP_DT_NAME, FIP_DT_VN_ID) checked their per-type minimum lengths, but a FIP_DT_NON_CRITICAL descriptor (fip_dtype >= 128, which the standard requires receivers to silently ignore) skipped that check entirely. An unauthenticated L2 peer on the FCoE control VLAN could hang fcoe_ctlr_recv_work on an fcoe, qedf, or bnx2fc initiator indefinitely by emitting one FIP CVL frame whose single descriptor had fip_dtype == FIP_DT_NON_CRITICAL and fip_dlen == 0: the cursor advanced zero bytes per iteration and the loop condition rlen >= sizeof(*desc) stayed true forever, blocking every subsequent FIP frame on that controller. Tighten the outer dlen guard to also reject dlen < sizeof(struct fip_desc), so a malformed descriptor whose length cannot even cover the descriptor header is rejected before the switch. This is the same lower-bound the named cases already apply and is the minimum scope that closes the loop.

  93. CVE-2026-10673 8.8 Élevée

    zephyrproject zephyr

The Zephyr ADIN2111/ADIN1110 10BASE-T1S/T1L Ethernet driver (drivers/ethernet/eth_adin2111.c) reassembles received Ethernet frames in OPEN Alliance (OA) SPI mode by copying device-supplied 64-byte data chunks into a fixed static buffer ctx->buf of size CONFIG_ETH_ADIN2111_BUFFER_SIZE (default 1524 bytes). In eth_adin2111_oa_data_read(), each valid chunk was memcpy'd into ctx->buf[ctx->scur] and the write cursor scur advanced, with no check that scur + len stayed within the buffer. The number of chunks (up to 255, from the BUFSTS RCA field) and the per-chunk length are taken entirely from the frame data received off the wire; the cursor is only reset on a start-of-frame chunk. An attacker on the single-pair Ethernet segment can therefore send a frame whose reassembled size exceeds the configured buffer, causing the driver's RX offload thread to write attacker-controlled frame bytes past the end of the static buffer into adjacent driver/kernel memory (up to roughly 14.8 KB in the worst case). This is a remotely/adjacently reachable out-of-bounds write (CWE-787) that can corrupt memory and cause denial of service or potentially code execution. The defect was introduced when OA SPI support was added (commit 0ca8b0756b1) and shipped in releases v3.7.0 through v4.4.0. The fix adds a bounds check that drops the oversized frame and resets the cursor before the copy.

    PETDANCE App::Ack

App::Ack versions through 3.10.0 for Perl print unsanitised terminal escape sequences from filenames in several output modes. When ack prints a filename whose basename contains terminal control bytes such as ANSI escape sequences, those bytes reach the terminal unchanged. Version 3.10.0 added a _safe_filename helper that sanitises the filenames printed by -f, -g, the colored match heading, and per-match lines, but the --show-types, -l/-L, and -c paths still emit the raw filename. A file whose name embeds cursor-movement or color escapes can overwrite or recolor earlier terminal output, or be passed unchanged to a downstream consumer.

    cursor · Anysphere cursor

Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. Prior to 3.0, Cursor runs agent terminal commands in a sandbox by default. Before a Write, the agent canonicalizes the target path to confirm it stays inside the workspace, but when canonicalization fails it falls back to the original path and writes without approval. A malicious agent can create an in-workspace symlink that points outside the workspace and force canonicalization to fail — either because the target does not exist or because read permission is removed from the path — so the agent writes through the symlink to an arbitrary location without approval. A malicious agent could write arbitrary files outside the workspace under the user's privileges. This enables non-sandboxed Remote Code Execution — for example by overwriting the cursorsandbox helper so later commands run unsandboxed — with no user interaction beyond a benign prompt. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.0.

When virtio_gpu_do_fence_wait() fails and the function returns early from inside the loop, the cursor->chain reference is never released. This is the only caller in the entire kernel that does an early return inside dma_fence_unwrap_for_each. Add dma_fence_put(itr.chain) before the early return.

    Linux · Linux linux kernel

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/ttm: Fix ttm_bo_swapout() infinite LRU walk on swapout failure When ttm_tt_swapout() fails, the current code calls ttm_resource_add_bulk_move() followed by ttm_resource_move_to_lru_tail() to restore the resource's bulk_move membership. However, ttm_resource_move_to_lru_tail() places the resource at the tail of the LRU list which, relative to the walk cursor's hitch node (placed immediately after the resource when it was yielded), puts the resource *in front of the* the hitch. The next list_for_each_entry_continue() from the hitch finds the same resource again, causing an infinite loop. Fix by deferring del_bulk_move to the success path only. On the success path, TTM_TT_FLAG_SWAPPED has just been set by ttm_tt_swapout() but the resource is still tracked in the bulk_move range, so ttm_resource_del_bulk_move()'s !ttm_resource_unevictable() guard would incorrectly skip the removal. Introduce ttm_resource_del_bulk_move_unevictable() which bypasses that guard.

  111. CVE-2026-53655 5.5 Moyenne

    isaacs node-tar · Isaacs tar

node-tar is a full-featured Tar for Node.js. Prior to 7.5.16, tar (node-tar) applies a PAX extended header's size= record (and other PAX overrides) to the next header entry of any type, including intermediary metadata headers such as a GNU long-name (L) or long-link (K) entry. Per POSIX pax, a PAX extended header (x) describes the next file entry, not the intermediary extension headers that may sit between the x header and the file it annotates. Because node-tar lets the PAX size override the byte length of an intervening L/K/x header, an attacker can desynchronize node-tar's stream cursor relative to every other mainstream tar implementation (GNU tar, libarchive/bsdtar, Python tarfile, and the now-fixed tar-rs / astral-tokio-tar). The result is a tar parser interpretation differential (CWE-436): a single crafted archive yields a different set of members under node-tar than under the reference tar tools. An attacker can use this to hide a member from one parser while it is visible to another, which defeats security tooling whose scanner and extractor disagree on archive contents (e.g. a malware/secret scanner that lists entries with one library while a downstream step extracts with another) This vulnerability is fixed in 7.5.16.

Windows-MCP is an open-source project that integrates AI agents with Windows. In versions prior to 0.7.5, certain HTTP modes exposed the MCP control plane without authentication while enabling wildcard CORS (allow_origins=*, allow_methods=*, allow_headers=*). Because the same server also exposed a PowerShell tool that executes caller-controlled commands as the Windows user running Windows-MCP, attackers could reach the control plane from arbitrary origins or non-browser clients and achieve arbitrary PowerShell execution. This issue was fixed in version 0.7.5.

  114. CVE-2026-48124 8.5 Élevée

    cursor

Cursor is a code editor built for programming with AI. In versions prior to 3.0.0, the Cursor Desktop could execute workspace-defined Claude hook commands from .claude/settings.local.json without dedicated user approval. A malicious workspace or agent-created file could configure hooks that run local commands in the user's context when an agent turn ends. This could allow sandbox escape, persistence across turns, local data access, or follow-on compromise. This issue has been fixed in version 3.0.0.

A signed integer overflow vulnerability was found in GStreamer's VMnc decoder. A crafted VMnc stream with large cursor dimensions can overflow signed integer payload-size arithmetic, bypassing a length check and leading to out-of-bounds reads. A remote attacker could trick a user into opening a specially crafted VMnc file, potentially causing a crash or information disclosure.

    MongoDB server · Mongodb mongodb

In MongoDB Server 8.0, an aggregation stage can leave its _subPipeline field null during processing of certain pipelines. If a getMore is subsequently issued on the same cursor, the server may dereference this null sub-pipeline when reattaching to the operation context, accessing an invalid address and crashing the process. This issue allows an authenticated user who can run aggregation pipelines to cause a denial of service by issuing a specially crafted aggregation followed by getMore on affected versions.

Linux · Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 · Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.0 Extended Update Support · Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: revalidate list cursor after sctp_sendmsg_to_asoc() in SCTP_SENDALL The SCTP_SENDALL path in sctp_sendmsg() iterates ep->asocs with list_for_each_entry_safe(), which caches the next entry in @tmp before the loop body runs. The body calls sctp_sendmsg_to_asoc(), which may drop the socket lock inside sctp_wait_for_sndbuf(). While the lock is dropped, another thread can SCTP_SOCKOPT_PEELOFF the association cached in @tmp, migrating it to a new endpoint via sctp_sock_migrate() (list_del_init() + list_add_tail() to newep->asocs), and optionally close the new socket which frees the association via kfree_rcu(). The cached @tmp can also be freed by a network ABORT for that association, processed in softirq while the lock is dropped. sctp_wait_for_sndbuf() revalidates @asoc (the current entry) on re-lock via the "sk != asoc->base.sk" and "asoc->base.dead" checks, but nothing revalidates @tmp. After a successful return, the iterator advances to the stale @tmp, yielding either a use-after-free (if the peeled socket was closed) or a list-walk onto the new endpoint's list head (type confusion of &newep->asocs as a struct sctp_association *). Both are reachable from CapEff=0; the type-confusion path gives controlled indirect call via the outqueue.sched->init_sid pointer. Fix by re-deriving @tmp from @asoc after sctp_sendmsg_to_asoc() returns. @asoc is known to still be on ep->asocs at that point: the only callers that list_del an association from ep->asocs are sctp_association_free() (which sets asoc->base.dead) and sctp_assoc_migrate() (which changes asoc->base.sk), and sctp_wait_for_sndbuf() checks both under the lock before any successful return; a tripped check propagates as err < 0 and the loop bails before the re-derive. The SCTP_ABORT path in sctp_sendmsg_check_sflags() returns 0 and the loop hits 'continue' before sctp_sendmsg_to_asoc() is ever called, so the @tmp cached by list_for_each_entry_safe() still covers the lock-held free that ba59fb027307 ("sctp: walk the list of asoc safely") was added for.

  118. CVE-2026-43341 9.8 Critique

    Linux · Linux linux kernel

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/ipv6: ioam6: prevent schema length wraparound in trace fill ioam6_fill_trace_data() stores the schema contribution to the trace length in a u8. With bit 22 enabled and the largest schema payload, sclen becomes 1 + 1020 / 4, wraps from 256 to 0, and bypasses the remaining-space check. __ioam6_fill_trace_data() then positions the write cursor without reserving the schema area but still copies the 4-byte schema header and the full schema payload, overrunning the trace buffer. Keep sclen in an unsigned int so the remaining-space check and the write cursor calculation both see the full schema length.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/smb/client: fix out-of-bounds read in cifs_sanitize_prepath When cifs_sanitize_prepath is called with an empty string or a string containing only delimiters (e.g., "/"), the current logic attempts to check *(cursor2 - 1) before cursor2 has advanced. This results in an out-of-bounds read. This patch adds an early exit check after stripping prepended delimiters. If no path content remains, the function returns NULL. The bug was identified via manual audit and verified using a standalone test case compiled with AddressSanitizer, which triggered a SEGV on affected inputs.
