  1. CVE-2026-111224 7.5 Élevée

    Netgate pfSense CE

pfSense CE through 2.9.0 contains an OS command injection vulnerability in the OpenVPN openvpn.connect_async.sh script that allows authenticated VPN users to execute commands as root via crafted usernames. Attackers authenticated through RADIUS or LDAP can use usernames containing single quotes and shell metacharacters to break out of the eval'd pfctl anchor name on connect or disconnect.

  2. CVE-2026-58393 5.9 Moyenne

    opnsense core

OPNsense is a FreeBSD based firewall and routing platform. Prior to version 26.1.11, the OpenVPN Client Specific Override common_name field accepts path traversal sequences and openvpn_csc_conf_write() concatenates the value into /var/etc/openvpn-csc/<vpnid>/<common_name> without normalization or a basename check. The affected event handlers are client_connect.php and user_pass_verify.php. An authenticated user with Client Specific Override privileges can store the traversal value, and a matching OpenVPN client-connect or authentication event causes a generated CSO file to be written outside the intended directory. The file content is generated OpenVPN configuration rather than arbitrary bytes, and practical exploitation requires the attacker to cause a matching common name or username to be processed. This issue is fixed in version 26.1.11.

  3. CVE-2026-58390 8.0 Élevée

    opnsense core

OPNsense is a FreeBSD based firewall and routing platform. Prior to version 26.1.11, the OpenVPN connection-status dashboard widget in src/opnsense/www/js/widgets/OpenVPNClients.js and the connection-status view place a client common_name into data-common-name attributes without quote-safe encoding. Exploitation requires an OpenVPN server configured with username-as-common-name and RADIUS or LDAP authentication, plus the ability to provision or self-register a valid backend username containing a double quote; deployments where the same administrator controls both the identity backend and firewall do not cross a separate trust boundary. An authenticated client using that username can close the attribute and add an event handler, while the local user database is not affected because its username validator rejects quotes. Script executes in an administrator's session when the administrator opens the dashboard or connection-status page and the injected event is triggered; the demonstrated payload used pointer movement over the client row rather than unconditional page-load execution. The advisory demonstrates that the script can read config.xml, invoke privileged APIs, reset the root password, and obtain root command execution. This issue is fixed in version 26.1.11.

  4. CVE-2026-94417 5.3 Moyenne

    wolfSSL · Wolfssl wolfssl

When an application enables both OCSP and CRL revocation checking on one WOLFSSL_CTX or certificate manager, wolfSSL skips the CRL check for any peer certificate that carries no Authority Information Access OCSP URL, and accepts a certificate the loaded CRL lists as revoked. The soft-fail policy for a missing responder collapses the OCSP result onto success before the code decides whether the CRL fallback is still needed, so "no responder exists" becomes indistinguishable from "the responder answered good". Affected builds define both HAVE_OCSP and HAVE_CRL: --enable-ocsp --enable-crl directly, and implicitly --enable-all, --enable-distro, --enable-curl, --enable-nginx, --enable-haproxy, --enable-stunnel, --enable-lighty, --enable-wpas, --enable-strongswan, --enable-mosquitto, --enable-jni, --enable-openvpn and --enable-krb. An application is affected only if it calls both wolfSSL_CTX_EnableOCSP() (or wolfSSL_EnableOCSP() / wolfSSL_CertManagerEnableOCSP()) and wolfSSL_CTX_EnableCRL() (or the equivalents) with a CRL loaded; an application that uses OCSP stapling alone through wolfSSL_CTX_EnableOCSPStapling() is not affected, because that sets up a separate OCSP instance. The defect sits in ProcessPeerCerts() and is reachable over TLS 1.0 through TLS 1.3 and DTLS, both on a client verifying a server certificate and on a server verifying a client certificate under mutual or post-handshake authentication. When the skipped check falls on a chain certificate rather than the leaf, the unchecked intermediate is promoted into the certificate manager and stays a trusted signer for every later connection on that context, so an affected long-running process needs its WOLFSSL_CTX torn down and not only its library replaced. All wolfSSL versions from 5.9.2 and earlier are affected; on versions 5.9.1 and 5.9.2 the WOLFSSL_OCSP_CHECKALL configuration fails closed with OCSP_NEED_URL, which leaves wolfSSL_CTX_EnableOCSP() without CHECKALL as the exposed configuration on 5.9.2.

  5. CVE-2026-19586 9.8 Critique

    TP-Link Systems Inc. ER7212PC v2 · TP-Link Systems Inc. ER605 v2 · TP-Link Systems Inc. ER7206 v2 · TP-Link Systems Inc ER7406 v1

A pre-authentication OS command injection vulnerability has been identified in Omada gateways configured to operate as an OpenVPN Server due to insufficient validation of client-supplied data during OpenVPN connection establishment. An unauthenticated remote attacker may provide specially crafted input influencing backend command execution logic before authentication completes. Exploitation requires the OpenVPN Server feature to be enabled, VPN service reachable by the attacker and attacker to be able to initiate an OpenVPN connection attempt.  Successful exploitation may allow arbitrary command execution, potentially leading to full compromise of the affected device.

  6. CVE-2026-13379 9.1 Critique

    OpenVPN · Openvpn openvpn

The Windows interactive service in OpenVPN 2.7_alpha1 through 2.7.4 allows remote attackers to cause persistent DNS state pollution or a service crash via a crafted search domain during the disconnection process

  7. CVE-2026-9560 7.8 Élevée

OpenVPN Inc OpenVPN Connect · Openvpn connect

Privilege escalation via background service of OpenVPN Connect 3.5.1 through 3.8.1 on macOS allows attackers to execute arbitrary commands with elevated privileges via local IPC channel

  8. CVE-2026-31893 5.5 Moyenne

    Tunnelblick · Tunnelblick tunnelblick

Tunnelblick is an open source graphic user interface for OpenVPN on macOS. In versions 3.3beta26 through 9.0beta01, any local user can read arbitrary root-owned files by exploiting a symlink following vulnerability in tunnelblick-helper, reachable through the world-accessible tunnelblickd Unix socket. The socket is configured with mode 0666, allowing any local user to connect. No authorization check is performed on the connecting client. The tunnelblick-helper process constructs a path to config.ovpn inside a user-controlled .tblk directory and reads it as root without symlink validation. An attacker can create a .tblk configuration with a symlinked config.ovpn pointing to any file and request tunnelblickd to read it. This issue has been fixed in versions 9.0beta02.
