CVE-2026-114603 5.3 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-python
OpenTelemetry Python provides the Python API and SDK for OpenTelemetry. Prior to 1.45.1, the opentelemetry-api function TraceState.from_header in opentelemetry/trace/span.py, reached through TraceContextTextMapPropagator.extract, parses inbound W3C tracestate headers with an unbounded optional-whitespace regular expression. A malformed header containing a long run of spaces or tabs without a following comma causes quadratic backtracking before the member-count limit is applied. Services using the default W3C Trace Context propagator can therefore spend excessive CPU time on one unauthenticated request when the HTTP server, parser, gateway, or custom carrier accepts a sufficiently large header. The processing can occupy a synchronous worker or delay unrelated requests on the same asynchronous event loop. The impact is limited to availability and does not expose or modify telemetry data or allow code execution. This issue is fixed in version 1.45.1.

CVE-2026-112006 6.5 Moyenne
opentelemetry-exporter-otlp-proto-http
OpenTelemetry opentelemetry-exporter-otlp-proto-http 1.5.0 before 1.45.0 contains an improper certificate validation vulnerability that disables TLS verification when OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_CERTIFICATE variables are empty strings. Man-in-the-middle attackers can impersonate the collector to read or alter exported traces, metrics, and logs, including authentication headers from OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_HEADERS.

CVE-2026-107293 5.3 Moyenne
pydantic-ai · pydantic-ai-slim · Pydantic pydantic ai
Pydantic AI is a Python agent framework for building applications and workflows with Generative AI. From 0.3.4 until 1.107.4 and 2.27.1, OpenTelemetry instrumentation configured with InstrumentationSettings(include_content=False) can export retry prompts outside tool calls in gen_ai.input.messages and pydantic_ai.all_messages. Agents using NativeOutput, PromptedOutput, or output validators on text output can therefore disclose validation feedback, including invalid model values quoted by that feedback, to readers of the telemetry backend. Tool-call retries and deployments that do not use include_content=False are not affected by this specific path. This issue is fixed in versions 1.107.4 and 2.27.1.

CVE-2026-107291 4.3 Moyenne
pydantic-ai · pydantic-ai-slim · Pydantic pydantic ai
Pydantic AI is a Python agent framework for building applications and workflows with Generative AI. From 0.3.4 until 1.107.6 and 2.44.0, OpenTelemetry instrumentation configured with InstrumentationSettings(include_content=False) can still export sensitive agent content through exception.message and exception.stacktrace events, error status descriptions, and model_request_parameters containing instructions or the prompted_output_template. The exposed data is available to readers of the configured telemetry backend and can include tool feedback, provider error bodies, runtime instructions, and structured-output templates even though message attributes are redacted. This issue does not grant new access to agent data, and deployments that do not use include_content=False are not affected by the setting bypass. This issue is fixed in versions 1.107.6 and 2.44.0.

CVE-2026-104872 5.8 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-js-contrib · @opentelemetry instrumentation-cassandra-driver · @opentelemetry instrumentation-knex · @opentelemetry instrumentation-mongoose
OpenTelemetry JavaScript Contrib provides instrumentation libraries for collecting telemetry from JavaScript applications. Prior to versions 0.66.0 of @opentelemetry/instrumentation-cassandra-driver, 0.65.0 of @opentelemetry/instrumentation-knex, 0.67.0 of @opentelemetry/instrumentation-mongoose, @opentelemetry/instrumentation-mysql, and @opentelemetry/instrumentation-mysql2, 0.46.0 of @opentelemetry/instrumentation-oracledb, 0.73.0 of @opentelemetry/instrumentation-pg, and 0.40.0 of @opentelemetry/instrumentation-tedious, the packages add the database connection username to every instrumented database operation as the db.user span attribute. The attribute is emitted by default and is not controlled by enhancedDatabaseReporting or another opt-in setting. Configured observability backends therefore receive database account names that may expose service topology, role or environment information, and account naming patterns. This issue is fixed in versions 0.66.0, 0.65.0, 0.67.0, 0.46.0, 0.73.0, and 0.40.0 of the respective packages.

CVE-2026-81872 6.3 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-go
OpenTelemetry-Go is the Go implementation of OpenTelemetry. Prior to version 0.21.0, the go.opentelemetry.io/otel/sdk/log BatchingProcessor can enter a tight CPU loop when attacker-driven log emission fills its asynchronous export buffer while the exporter is backpressured. NewBatchingProcessor wraps the exporter with newBufferExporter(exporter, 1), and the poll loop calls queue.TryDequeue and bufferExporter.EnqueueExport before immediately signaling pollTrigger whenever the queue remains at or above batchSize. Because a failed nonblocking EnqueueExport leaves the queue length unchanged, the processor repeatedly retries without waiting for its ticker, exhausting CPU and degrading or denying service in the embedding process. This issue is fixed in version 0.21.0.

CVE-2026-81871 6.3 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-go
OpenTelemetry-Go is the Go implementation of OpenTelemetry. Prior to version 0.21.0, the exporters/otlp/otlplog/otlploggrpc package loads OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_LOGS_CERTIFICATE, OTEL_EXPORTER_OTLP_CERTIFICATE, and related client certificate environment variables through loadEnvTLS into cfg.tlsCfg, but newGRPCDialOptions does not apply cfg.tlsCfg when creating gRPC transport credentials. The environment-only TLS path instead uses credentials.NewTLS with system roots and no configured client certificate, bypassing intended private CA pinning and mutual TLS unless the application also supplies WithTLSCredentials. A network attacker able to intercept or spoof the collector connection with a system-trusted certificate can read or alter log telemetry. This issue is fixed in version 0.21.0.

CVE-2026-81869 5.1 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-go
OpenTelemetry-Go is the Go implementation of OpenTelemetry. From version 1.10.0 until 1.33.0, the sdk/trace/span.go attribute truncation path can fail to enforce AttributeValueLengthLimit for string and string-slice attributes containing the valid Unicode replacement character U+FFFD. safeTruncateValidUTF8 treats the valid replacement rune as invalid UTF-8 and returns the original input, while strings.ToValidUTF8 leaves that valid rune unchanged, so a second safeTruncate attempt can also return the oversized value. An attacker who controls span attribute content can retain values longer than the configured limit, increasing per-span memory use and weakening denial-of-service protection in the instrumented process. This issue is fixed in version 1.33.0.

CVE-2026-81870 2.0 Faible
open-telemetry opentelemetry-go
OpenTelemetry-Go is the Go implementation of OpenTelemetry. From version 1.5.0 to 1.44.0, sdk/trace.NewTracerProvider emits a TracerProvider created internal Info-level diagnostic event whose MarshalLog implementations recursively include span processor, exporter, and client configuration. Applications that call otel.SetLogger to enable OpenTelemetry internal Info logging can therefore record OTLP gRPC and HTTP collector endpoints, the OTLP HTTP Insecure flag, and complete Zipkin collector URLs. A person or system with access to those logs can learn internal collector topology and can recover credentials or tokens embedded in Zipkin URL user information or query strings. The default OpenTelemetry logger does not emit the event, and this path does not log OTLP authentication headers, TLS key material, or span payloads. This issue is fixed in version 1.45.0.

CVE-2026-55701 6.9 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-collector-contrib · open-telemetry github.com/open-telemetry/opentelemetry-collector-contrib/receiver/githubreceiver
The OpenTelemetry Collector Contrib repository contains components for the OpenTelemetry Collector. Prior to 0.151.0, the githubreceiver validates the receiver/githubreceiver/config.go RequiredHeaders configuration at startup, but receiver/githubreceiver/trace_receiver.go handleReq() does not check those headers on incoming webhook requests. An unauthenticated sender can therefore bypass an operator's required_headers authentication control and submit arbitrary webhook payloads. When the Secret field is empty, github.ValidatePayload also skips HMAC validation, leaving the webhook endpoint without either configured authentication mechanism. Successful exploitation can inject fabricated CI/CD trace data into the observability pipeline. This issue is fixed in version 0.151.0.

CVE-2026-44163 5.3 Moyenne
fluent-plugins-nursery fluent-plugin-opentelemetry
fluent-plugin-opentelemetry is a Fluentd input and output plugin for forwarding OpenTelemetry Protocol data. Prior to 0.5.3, the in_opentelemetry HTTP input read the entire incoming request body and decompressed payloads into memory without enforcing maximum size thresholds. When an OpenTelemetry ingestion endpoint was exposed to an untrusted network, an attacker could send an excessively large request or a highly compressed payload that expanded in memory. The resulting memory exhaustion could cause the operating system to terminate the Fluentd process, disrupting all log collection and forwarding on the affected node. This issue is fixed in version 0.5.3.

CVE-2026-47256 5.3 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-collector-contrib · open-telemetry github.com/open-telemetry/opentelemetry-collector-contrib/exporter/sentryexporter
OpenTelemetry, also known as OTel, is a vendor-neutral open source Observability framework for instrumenting, generating, collecting, and exporting telemetry data such as traces, metrics, and logs. Prior to 0.154.0, the Sentry exporter reads the remote OTLP sender-controlled service.name resource attribute in exporter/sentryexporter/sentry_exporter.go through extractProjectSlug and getOrCreateProjectEndpoint, passes the raw project slug to GetOTLPEndpoints and GetProjectKeys in exporter/sentryexporter/sentry_client.go, and interpolates it into a Sentry API URL without applying projectSlugRegexp through validateRoutingConfig at runtime in exporter/sentryexporter/config.go. Special characters can turn the expected path suffix into query data in all deployments or introduce slash and dot segments that traverse paths when the Sentry deployment normalizes them, while the Collector attaches its operator-configured bearer token to the request. A successful request can reach token-authorized administrative, organization, member, or key endpoints within the configured Sentry organization, and an attacker-controlled project slug can redirect subsequently exported telemetry. Sentry token middleware prevents cross-organization access. This issue is fixed in version 0.154.0.

CVE-2026-47701 7.7 Élevée
open-telemetry opentelemetry-operator
The OpenTelemetry Operator is a Kubernetes Operator for the OpenTelemetry Collector. Prior to 0.152.0, cmd/otel-allocator TargetAllocator instances with targetAllocator.prometheusCR.enabled set to true preserve a selected ServiceMonitor endpoint's bearerTokenFile value as HTTPClientConfig.Authorization.CredentialsFile. A tenant who can create or update a ServiceMonitor matched by serviceMonitorSelector and serviceMonitorNamespaceSelector can point bearerTokenFile at a file in the Collector pod, including /var/run/secrets/kubernetes.io/serviceaccount/token, and direct scraping to a tenant-controlled endpoint. The Collector reads that file at scrape time and sends its contents as bearer authorization on every scrape interval. Exploitation also requires the Collector service-account token or another sensitive file to be mounted and the Collector to reach the chosen target. The DenyFSAccessThroughSMs control was absent, allowing disclosure of the Collector's service-account JWT or other mounted files, and resulting Kubernetes API impact is limited by the Collector service account's permissions. This issue is fixed in version 0.152.0.

open-telemetry opentelemetry-ebpf-profiler
OpenTelemetry eBPF Profiler is a production-scale agent for profiling applications across multiple programming languages. Starting in version 0.0.202527 and prior to version 0.0.202622, an unprivileged process can cause the profiler to open a nonregular mapping file, such as a FIFO, and block indefinitely, preventing further ELF analysis and causing a denial of service. Version 0.0.202622 contains a patch. No known workarounds are available.

CVE-2026-81192 7.0 Élevée
open-telemetry opentelemetry-dotnet-contrib
`OpenTelemetry.Resources.Host` NuGet package, which provides OpenTelemetry resource detectors for host, is affected by an untrusted search path vulnerability on macOS. Prior to version 1.16.0-beta.2, the `host.id` resource attribute detector launches the `sh` and `ioreg` executables by bare name rather than by absolute path, so both are resolved through the `PATH` environment variable. A local attacker who is less privileged than the host application, and who can influence `PATH` or write to a directory that appears in `PATH` ahead of the system directories, can have an arbitrary binary executed in the application's security context, resulting in local code execution/privilege escalation. This vulnerability only affect macOS hosts - Linux and Windows hosts are unaffected. Version 1.16.0-beta.2 contains a patch. No known workarounds are available.

CVE-2026-54788 7.5 Élevée
DataDog dd-trace-rs
dd-trace-rs provides Datadog application performance monitoring for Rust. From 0.1.0 until 0.3.3, datadog-opentelemetry/src/propagation/tracecontext.rs parses the W3C tracestate header and collects every semicolon-separated key and value pair in the Datadog dd=... vendor entry into a HashMap without enforcing a pair count or entry size limit. Because tracecontext extraction is enabled by default, a remote unauthenticated attacker can send an arbitrarily large dd=... entry and force excessive CPU and memory consumption for each request, causing denial of service in an instrumented network service. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.3.3.

CVE-2026-45404 5.9 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-go
OpenTelemetry-Go is the Go implementation of OpenTelemetry. From version 0.11.0 through 1.44.0, the OpenTracing bridge's bridgeSpan contains an unsynchronized extraBaggageItems map which can cause a panic. Because Go maps are not safe for concurrent read/write access, concurrent SetBaggageItem and correlation.MapFromContext calls on the same hooked bridgeSpan can trigger a fatal runtime error—such as concurrent map read and map write or concurrent map iteration and map write—terminating the process and causing denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 1.45.0.

CVE-2026-48504 5.3 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-rust
OpenTelemetry Rust is the Rust OpenTelemetry implementation. In 0.32.0 and earlier, BaggagePropagator::extract_with_context in opentelemetry_sdk did not enforce W3C Baggage size limits before parsing an inbound baggage header, so a large attacker-controlled header could cause unnecessary CPU work and short-lived heap allocations while parsing entries later discarded by the SDK's baggage storage limits. Services that accept untrusted inbound propagation headers may experience increased per-request resource usage when processing oversized baggage headers. This issue is fixed in version 0.32.1.

CVE-2026-15737 5.7 Moyenne
AWS bedrock-agentcore
AWS Bedrock AgentCore Python SDK is an open-source Python library that provides client tools for building AI agents on the Amazon Bedrock AgentCore platform. Unintended logging of sensitive user content in the OpenTelemetry instrumentation in AWS Bedrock AgentCore Python SDK versions 1.4.8 and 1.5.0 might allow a local authenticated user with access to CloudWatch Logs to access raw user prompts and agent responses containing sensitive data via span attributes. The SDK wrote raw user prompts and complete agent responses into OpenTelemetry span attributes on every invocation without filtering or masking. These spans flow into the customer's aws/spans CloudWatch log group, exposing sensitive content to any principal with log read access. We recommend you upgrade to version 1.5.1 or later. Users who ran affected versions should also review and purge sensitive content from their aws/spans CloudWatch log groups.

CVE-2026-59892 7.5 Élevée
open-telemetry opentelemetry-js
OpenTelemetry JavaScript is the OpenTelemetry JavaScript client. Prior to 2.9.0, @opentelemetry/propagator-jaeger decodes incoming uber-trace-id and uberctx-* HTTP header values with decodeURIComponent() without handling decode errors, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to send a malformed percent-encoded value that throws an uncaught URIError and terminates a Node.js process using JaegerPropagator as the active propagator. This issue is fixed in version 2.9.0.

CVE-2026-54712 7.5 Élevée
open-telemetry opentelemetry-java-instrumentation · Linuxfoundation opentelemetry instrumentation for java
OpenTelemetry Java Instrumentation provides OpenTelemetry auto-instrumentation and instrumentation libraries for Java. In versions prior to 2.27.0, the RMI context propagation payload reader limits the number of context entries but does not limit the aggregate size of the strings read from the stream. An attacker who can reach an RMI endpoint on an instrumented JVM can send an oversized context propagation payload. This can cause excessive memory allocation while the JVM reads the payload, potentially leading to denial of service. The issue affects only deployments where RMI instrumentation is enabled and an RMI endpoint is network-reachable. This issue has been fixed in version 2.27.0.

CVE-2026-54704 6.5 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-java-instrumentation · Linuxfoundation opentelemetry instrumentation for java
OpenTelemetry Java Instrumentation provides OpenTelemetry auto-instrumentation and instrumentation libraries for Java. In versions prior to 2.28.0, the JDBC auto-instrumentation may fail to sanitize passwords in SQL CONNECT statements when the password is double-quoted. As a result, clear-text database passwords can be added to trace span attributes and exported to observability backends. This issue has been fixed in version 2.28.0.

CVE-2026-54285 5.3 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-js · Opentelemetry opentelemetry
opentelemetry-js is the OpenTelemetry JavaScript Client. Prior to 2.8.0, W3CBaggagePropagator.extract() in @opentelemetry/core does not enforce size limits when parsing inbound baggage HTTP headers. The W3C Baggage specification recommends a maximum of 8,192 bytes and 180 entries; these limits were only enforced on the outbound (inject()) path, not on the inbound (extract()) path. Parsing oversized baggage causes memory allocation proportional to the header size without any cap. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.8.0.

CVE-2026-44967 5.3 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-cpp · Opentelemetry opentelemetry
OpenTelemetry-cpp is the C++ implementation of OpenTelemetry. Prior to release 1.27.0, the OTLP HTTP exporters (traces/metrics/logs) read the full HTTP response into an in-memory vector of bytes without a size cap. This is exploitable for memory exhaustion when the configured collector endpoint is attacker-controlled (or a network attacker can MITM the exporter connection). This vulnerability is fixed in opentelemetry-cpp release 1.27.0.

CVE-2026-45287 5.5 Moyenne
open-telemetry go.opentelemetry.io/otel/schema/v1.1 · open-telemetry go.opentelemetry.io/otel/schema/v1.0 · Opentelemetry telemetry schema files
OpenTelemetry-Go is the Go implementation of OpenTelemetry. Prior to version 0.0.17, `go.opentelemetry.io/otel/schema/v1.0` and `go.opentelemetry.io/otel/schema/v1.1` leaks one file descriptor on each successful `ParseFile` call. `ParseFile` opens the schema file and passes it to `Parse` without closing it; repeated parsing in a long-running process can exhaust the process file descriptor limit and cause denial of service. Exploitation depends on a consuming application exposing repeated schema parsing to an attacker-controlled path. Version 0.0.17 contains a patch for the issue.

CVE-2026-45686 7.5 Élevée
open-telemetry opentelemetry-ebpf-instrumentation · Opentelemetry ebpf instrumentation
OpenTelemetry eBPF Instrumentation provides eBPF instrumentation based on the OpenTelemetry standard. From version 0.7.0 to before version 0.9.0, a remotely reachable integer overflow in OBI's memcached text protocol parser can crash the OBI process and cause denial of service. When parsing memcached storage commands such as set, add, replace, append, prepend, or cas, OBI accepts extremely large <bytes> values and adds the payload delimiter length without checking for overflow. A crafted request with <bytes> set to math.MaxInt or math.MaxInt-1 causes the computed payload length to wrap negative and triggers a runtime panic in LargeBufferReader.Peek. This issue has been patched in version 0.9.0.

CVE-2026-45685 7.5 Élevée
open-telemetry opentelemetry-ebpf-instrumentation · Opentelemetry ebpf instrumentation
OpenTelemetry eBPF Instrumentation provides eBPF instrumentation based on the OpenTelemetry standard. From version 0.1.0 to before version 0.9.0, malformed MongoDB wire messages can trigger uncaught panics in the MongoDB TCP parser, allowing a remote unauthenticated attacker to crash the telemetry agent and cause a denial of service. The parser operates on raw attacker-controlled network payloads before the input is fully validated, so a single crafted message can terminate telemetry collection for the affected process or node. This issue has been patched in version 0.9.0.

CVE-2026-45684 5.3 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-ebpf-instrumentation · Opentelemetry ebpf instrumentation
OpenTelemetry eBPF Instrumentation provides eBPF instrumentation based on the OpenTelemetry standard. From version 0.7.0 to before version 0.9.0, OBI's log enricher mishandles writev buffers by reading only the first iovec entry but using the total iov_iter.count as the copy length. When log injection is enabled, a crafted multi-segment writev call can make OBI read and overwrite memory beyond the first segment. This issue has been patched in version 0.9.0.

CVE-2026-45683 3.8 Faible
open-telemetry opentelemetry-ebpf-instrumentation · Opentelemetry ebpf instrumentation
OpenTelemetry eBPF Instrumentation provides eBPF instrumentation based on the OpenTelemetry standard. Prior to version 0.9.0, the Java TLS ioctl probe reads user-controlled ioctl pointers with bpf_probe_read instead of bpf_probe_read_user. An instrumented local process can therefore point OBI at kernel memory and cause that memory to be copied into telemetry. This issue has been patched in version 0.9.0.

CVE-2026-45682 5.5 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-ebpf-instrumentation · Opentelemetry ebpf instrumentation
OpenTelemetry eBPF Instrumentation provides eBPF instrumentation based on the OpenTelemetry standard. Prior to version 0.9.0, the custom CappedConcurrentHashMap introduced for Java TLS state tracking never removes keys from its insertion-order queue when entries are deleted. In long-running instrumented JVMs, repeated connection churn can therefore grow the queue without bound and exhaust heap memory. This issue has been patched in version 0.9.0.

CVE-2026-45681 5.9 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-ebpf-instrumentation · Opentelemetry ebpf instrumentation
OpenTelemetry eBPF Instrumentation provides eBPF instrumentation based on the OpenTelemetry standard. Prior to version 0.9.0, the per-CPU message-buffer fallback path uses a 256-byte backup buffer but preserves the original payload size, which can be up to 8KB. If a CPU mismatch occurs, OBI can read beyond the fallback buffer and leak adjacent memory into telemetry. This issue has been patched in version 0.9.0.

open-telemetry opentelemetry-ebpf-instrumentation · Opentelemetry ebpf instrumentation
OpenTelemetry eBPF Instrumentation provides eBPF instrumentation based on the OpenTelemetry standard. Prior to version 0.9.0, OBI replays BPF probe hits into histogram observations by looping once per recorded run count. On busy systems, the run-count delta can become very large, causing the metrics exporter to spend excessive CPU time in a tight loop every collection interval. This issue has been patched in version 0.9.0.

CVE-2026-45679 6.5 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-ebpf-instrumentation · Opentelemetry ebpf instrumentation
OpenTelemetry eBPF Instrumentation provides eBPF instrumentation based on the OpenTelemetry standard. Prior to version 0.9.0, OBI exports raw Redis error text as the span status message. Because Redis error replies can contain attacker-controlled or sensitive values, this behavior can exfiltrate tokens, PII, or other confidential input into telemetry backends and inject untrusted text into downstream analysis systems. This issue has been patched in version 0.9.0.

CVE-2026-45292 5.3 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-java · io.opentelemetry opentelemetry-api · io.opentelemetry opentelemetry-extension-trace-propagators · Red Hat Data Grid 8.6.2
opentelemetry-java is the Java implementation of the OpenTelemetry API for recording telemetry, and SDK for managing telemetry recorded by the API. Prior to 1.62.0, a vulnerability affects the baggage propagation implementation in opentelemetry-api and opentelemetry-extension-trace-propagators. Parsing oversized baggage causes unbounded memory allocation and CPU consumption. Because baggage is automatically re-injected into every outgoing request, the effect can fan out to downstream services that never received the original malicious request. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.62.0.

CVE-2026-44902 7.5 Élevée
open-telemetry opentelemetry-js · @opentelemetry exporter-prometheus · @opentelemetry sdk-node · @opentelemetry auto-instrumentations-node
opentelemetry-js is the OpenTelemetry JavaScript Client. Prior to 0.217.0, a single malformed HTTP request crashes any Node.js process running the OpenTelemetry JS Prometheus exporter. The metrics endpoint (default 0.0.0.0:9464) has no error handling around URL parsing, so a request with an invalid URI causes an uncaught TypeError that terminates the process. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.217.0.

CVE-2026-44213 6.5 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-dotnet-contrib
The OpenTelemetry.Exporter.Instana exports telemetry to Instana backend. Prior to 1.1.0, the OpenTelemetry.Exporter.Instana NuGet package does not validate HTTPS/TLS certificates are valid when sending telemetry to a configured Instana back-end when a proxy is configured using the INSTANA_ENDPOINT_PROXY environment variable. If a network attacker can Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) the proxy connection, all OpenTelemetry telemetry data and the Instana API key are exposed to the attacker. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.1.0.

CVE-2026-2652 8.6 Élevée
mlflow/mlflow · Lfprojects mlflow
A vulnerability in mlflow/mlflow versions 3.9.0 and earlier allows unauthenticated access to certain FastAPI routes when the server is started with authentication enabled (`--app-name basic-auth`) and served via uvicorn (ASGI). The FastAPI permission middleware only enforces authentication on `/gateway/` routes, leaving other routes such as the Job API (`/ajax-api/3.0/jobs/*`) and the OpenTelemetry trace ingestion API (`/v1/traces`) unprotected. This allows unauthenticated remote attackers to submit jobs, read job results, cancel running jobs, and inject arbitrary trace data into experiments. The issue arises from an architectural mismatch between Flask and FastAPI authentication mechanisms, where the `_find_fastapi_validator()` function fails to handle non-`/gateway/` paths, resulting in a complete authentication bypass. This vulnerability is fixed in version 3.10.0.

CVE-2026-42602 8.1 Élevée
open-telemetry opentelemetry-collector-contrib · Opentelemetry opentelemetry collector contrib
azureauthextension is the Azure Authenticator Extension. From 0.124.0 to 0.150.0, a server-side authentication bypass in azureauthextension allows any party who holds a single valid Azure access token for any scope the collector's configured identity can mint for to authenticate to any OpenTelemetry receiver that uses auth: azure_auth. The extension's Authenticate method does not validate incoming bearer tokens as JWTs. Instead, it calls its own configured credential to obtain an access token and compares the client's token to the result with string equality — and the scope for that server-side token request is taken from the client-supplied Host header. As a result, a token minted for any Azure resource the service principal has ever been issued a token for (ARM, Graph, Key Vault, Storage, etc.) will authenticate to the collector if the attacker picks a matching Host. Tokens are replayable for the full issued lifetime (commonly several hours for managed identity tokens).

open-telemetry opentelemetry-dotnet · Opentelemetry opentelemetry.exporter.opentelemetryprotocol
OpenTelemetry.Exporter.OpenTelemetryProtocol is the OTLP (OpenTelemetry Protocol) exporter implementation. From 1.8.0 to 1.15.2, the OTLP disk retry feature in OpenTelemetry.Exporter.OpenTelemetryProtocol silently fell back to Path.GetTempPath() when OTEL_DOTNET_EXPERIMENTAL_OTLP_RETRY=disk was set but OTEL_DOTNET_EXPERIMENTAL_OTLP_DISK_RETRY_DIRECTORY_PATH was not configured. The exporter stored and loaded *.blob files under fixed, signal-named subdirectories (traces, metrics, logs) beneath that shared temporary root path. On multi-user systems where the temporary directory is accessible to other local accounts, this allows an attacker to write crafted *.blob files, read *.blob files written by the application between export failures, or deposit numerous or oversized blob files, degrading retry-loop performance or consuming disk space. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.15.3.

CVE-2026-42348 7.5 Élevée
open-telemetry opentelemetry-dotnet-contrib · Opentelemetry opentelemetry.opamp.client
OpenTelemetry.OpAmp.Client is the OpAMP client for OpenTelemetry .NET. Prior to 0.2.0-alpha.1, when receiving responses from the OpAMP server over HTTP, the OpAMP client allocates an unbounded buffer to read all bytes from the server, with no upper-bound on the number of bytes consumed. This could cause memory exhaustion in the consuming application if the configured OpAMP server is attacker-controlled (or a network attacker can MitM the connection) and an extremely large body is returned in the response. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.2.0-alpha.1.

CVE-2026-41484 5.9 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-dotnet-contrib · Opentelemetry opentelemetry.exporter.onecollector
OpenTelemetry.Exporter.OneCollector is a .NET exporter that sends telemetry to a OneCollector back-end over HTTP. In versions 1.15.0 and earlier, when a request to the configured back-end or collector results in an unsuccessful HTTP 4xx or 5xx response, the HttpJsonPostTransport class reads the entire response body into memory with no upper bound on the number of bytes consumed in order to include the error response in operator logs. An attacker who controls the configured endpoint, or who can intercept traffic to it via a man-in-the-middle attack, can return an arbitrarily large response body. This causes unbounded heap allocation in the consuming process, leading to high transient memory pressure, garbage-collection stalls, or an OutOfMemoryException that terminates the process. As a workaround, use network-level controls such as firewall rules, mTLS, or a service mesh to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks on the configured back-end or collector endpoint. This issue is fixed in version 1.15.1, which limits the number of bytes read from the response body in an error condition to 4 MiB.

CVE-2026-41483 5.9 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-dotnet-contrib · Opentelemetry opentelemetry.resources.azure
OpenTelemetry.Resources.Azure is the .NET resource detector for Azure environments. In versions 1.15.0-beta.1 and earlier, the AzureVmMetaDataRequestor class makes HTTP requests to the Azure VM instance metadata service and reads the response body into memory without any size limit. As a workaround, disable the Azure VM resource detector or use network-level controls such as firewall rules, mTLS, or a service mesh to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks on the Azure VM instance metadata endpoint. This issue is fixed in version 1.15.1-beta.1, which streams responses rather than buffering them entirely in memory and ignores responses larger than 4 MiB.

CVE-2026-41310 5.3 Moyenne
open-telemetry opentelemetry-dotnet · Opentelemetry opentelemetry.exporter.zipkin
OpenTelemetry.Exporter.Zipkin is the .NET Zipkin exporter for OpenTelemetry. In versions 1.15.2 and earlier, the Zipkin exporter remote endpoint cache accepts unbounded key growth derived from span attributes. In high-cardinality scenarios, a process using Zipkin export for client or producer spans could experience avoidable memory growth under sustained unique remote endpoint values, increasing process memory usage over time and degrading availability. This issue is fixed in version 1.15.3, which introduces a bounded, thread-safe LRU cache for remote endpoints with a fixed maximum size.
