  1. CVE-2026-75980 6.4 Moyenne

wpdevteam BetterDocs – AI Documentation, Knowledge Base, MCP Server, Docs, Wikis, FAQ & Chatbot

The BetterDocs – AI Documentation, Knowledge Base, Docs, Wikis, FAQ with Chatbot plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Heading 'id' Attribute in Post Content in all versions up to, and including, 4.8.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The exploit survives wp_kses_post because entity-encoded quotes in a heading id attribute are treated as a single legitimate attribute value at save time; the dangerous payload only materialises after process_content_for_toc() calls html_entity_decode() on the stored content and the broken id is extracted by a lazy regex before being echoed unescaped into the Table of Contents output.

  2. CVE-2026-11371 6.1 Moyenne

    Unknown BetterDocs

The BetterDocs WordPress plugin before 4.5.5 does not sanitise an AI-generated documentation summary before storing and outputting it, and the feature that generates it is exposed to unauthenticated users, allowing them to store a malicious payload via prompt injection that executes in the browser of any visitor who views the affected page, including administrators.

  3. CVE-2026-12729 4.3 Moyenne

wedevs weDocs: AI Powered Knowledge Base, Docs, Documentation, Wiki & AI Chatbot

The weDocs: AI Powered Knowledge Base, Docs, Documentation, Wiki & AI Chatbot plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization in versions up to and including 2.3.0. This is due to a missing capability check on the do_migration() function registered as the wedocs_migrate_betterdocs_to_wedocs AJAX action, which performs no nonce verification via check_ajax_referer() and no capability check via current_user_can() before executing sensitive operations. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to trigger a full BetterDocs-to-weDocs data migration, creating and modifying 'docs' custom post type entries with attacker-controlled titles, updating site options, and deactivating the BetterDocs and BetterDocs Pro plugins via deactivate_plugins().

  4. CVE-2026-7515 9.8 Critique

    BetterDocs Pro

The BetterDocs Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion in versions up to, and including, 3.8.0 via the `doc_style` parameter. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to include and execute arbitrary .php files on the server, allowing the execution of any PHP code in those files. This can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution in cases where .php file types can be uploaded and included.

  5. CVE-2026-4348 7.5 Élevée

    BetterDocs Pro

The BetterDocs Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the `get_current_letter_docs` and `docs_sort_by_letter` AJAX actions in all versions up to, and including, 3.7.0. This is due to the `limit` POST parameter being interpolated directly into a SQL query string before being passed to `$wpdb->prepare()`, which only parameterizes other variables. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. The Encyclopedia feature must be enabled in BetterDocs Pro settings for the vulnerability to be exploitable.
