CVE-2026-77680 5.3 Moyenne
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10
An algorithmic complexity flaw exists in libsoup's HTTP Range header processing that persists after the CVE-2025-32907 fix. CVE-2025-32907 addressed memory amplification when a client repeated the same range many times in a single Range header. Commit 9bb92f7a corrected merge correctness in soup_message_headers_get_ranges_internal() in libsoup/soup-message-headers.c, but the coalescing loop still removes merged ranges using g_array_remove_index() for each coalesced element. Because GArray is contiguous, each mid-array removal performs an O(N) memmove. When many identical satisfiable ranges are supplied (for example bytes=0-0 repeated thousands of times), the loop performs O(N²) work coalescing them into a single range. The vulnerable path is reachable server-side from handle_partial_get() in libsoup/server/http1/soup-server-message-io-http1.c when a SoupServer handler returns HTTP 200 with a non-empty body. No authentication is required. The number of ranges is bounded only by the maximum request header size (~100 KiB), allowing roughly 25,000 ranges per request. Reporter measurements on libsoup HEAD containing the CVE-2025-32907 fix show ~90 ms single-core CPU per such request at the wire maximum, blocking the server's event loop for that duration. This is a CPU exhaustion / availability issue only. No memory corruption or information disclosure occurs. Affected: libsoup versions containing the CVE-2025-32907 fix but not merge request !550. Fixed upstream: MR !550 merged 2026-08-20, replacing per-element removal with O(N) in-place compaction and rejecting Range headers requesting more than 200 ranges. Upstream report: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libsoup/-/issues/538 Related: CVE-2025-32907

CVE-2026-72924 2.1 Faible
cli
GitHub CLI (gh) is GitHub's official command line tool. Versions 2.28.0 through 2.97.0 bind the local listener created by gh codespace ports forward to all available network interfaces by default. While port forwarding is active, a service in a Codespace can therefore become reachable through the user's non-loopback local IP addresses by other hosts that can route to the user's machine. This behavior does not change the GitHub-side visibility of the Codespaces port. Instead, it exposes the forwarded service through a wildcard-bound listener on the user's local machine, even when the source Codespaces port remains private. Exploitation requires a network-adjacent attacker to reach the victim's machine while forwarding is active. This issue is fixed in version 2.98.0.

CVE-2026-80051 5.9 Moyenne
graphql-go project graphql-go
github.com/graphql-go/graphql (GraphQL for Go) through 0.8.1 does not validate that a scalar variable value matches its declared type. The built-in coerceString and coerceBool functions (scalars.go) accept input whose type does not match the declared String, ID, or Boolean scalar instead of raising the request error that the GraphQL specification mandates. In some cases (but not any typical case of JSON sent to a website), a deeply nested value leads to an unrecoverable "fatal error: stack overflow" condition.

CVE-2026-79775 6.5 Moyenne
rclone
rclone versions >= v1.72.0 and <= v1.74.4 (fixed in v1.75.0) contain multiple denial-of-service vulnerabilities in the archive backend's SquashFS parser, which relies on the github.com/diskfs/go-diskfs dependency. The parser fails to validate attacker-controlled superblock and metadata values before use. An attacker who can place or modify a SquashFS image in storage exposed through an rclone :archive: remote can craft a malicious image that triggers an integer division-by-zero panic (zero block size), an out-of-bounds slice panic (out-of-range inode metadata offset), or a non-progress CPU loop (truncated metadata stream). Variants 1 and 2 terminate the rclone process and, via 'rclone serve sftp', can crash the entire SFTP server; variant 3 causes sustained CPU consumption. Parsing is lazy, so a victim or remote client must address or descend into the malicious archive object to trigger it.

CVE-2026-55582 8.4 Élevée
sonirico mcp-shell
mcp-shell is an MCP server for running shell commands securely, auditably, and on demand. Prior to 0.6.0, the default security.yaml allows /usr/bin/git, while security.go omits ! from containsShellMetacharacters and containsDangerousShellConstructs and applies no per-executable argument policy. A caller of the shell_exec MCP tool can provide the command argument /usr/bin/git -c alias.pwn=!<arbitrary-command>, causing Git to create a shell alias and execute arbitrary OS commands as the mcp-shell process user. The default Docker image runs as mcpuser with Git installed and secure mode enabled, so the bypass is exploitable in the default deployment without additional authentication beyond MCP connectivity. This issue is fixed in version 0.6.0.

CVE-2026-63075 7.5 Élevée
OpenSSL · Openssl openssl
Issue summary: When OpenSSL processes QUIC traffic from a peer that repeatedly sends ack-eliciting packets while not acknowledging ACK-only responses, the QUIC stack can retain ACK-only packet metadata for the lifetime of the connection. Impact summary: A remote peer that can complete a QUIC handshake can cause connection-scoped memory growth which may lead to Denial of Service through memory exhaustion, especially with sustained traffic or many concurrent QUIC connections. CWE: CWE-770: Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling Description: When the OpenSSL QUIC stack sends an ACK-only packet, there is no requirement by the QUIC protocol that the peer will acknowledge that ACK-only packet (i.e. it is itself not ack-eliciting). However, the OpenSSL implementation stores the metadata about the ACK frames regardless. In and of itself that's ok, but if a malicious peer establishes a connection, and then drives the connection such that ACK-only packets are forced from the OpenSSL implementation peer (i.e., by sending numerous PING frames), and then withholding any subsequent acks for ack-eliciting data, like legitimate data, said malicious peer can force inappropriate memory growth on the OpenSSL peer, potentially leading to a Denial of Service. The fix is to ensure that we account for the transmission of the ACK-only packet in the packet histories high and low watermark without actually storing the ACK-only packet metadata itself. FIPS impact: no The OpenSSL FIPS module is not affected as the QUIC code is outside the FIPS module boundary.

CVE-2026-63072 7.5 Élevée
OpenSSL · Openssl openssl
Issue summary: OpenSSL CMS decryption sizes the key-unwrap output buffer based on querying the unwrapped key size, but the AES-WRAP-PAD unwrap primitive can write and cleanse more bytes than that query reports, causing an 8-byte out-of-bounds heap write. Impact summary: An attacker who supplies a crafted CMS message can trigger a deterministic 8-byte out-of-bounds heap write when the victim decrypts it with CMS_decrypt(), corrupting the heap and typically resulting in a Denial of Service. CWE: CWE-787: Out-of-bounds Write Description: The key-wrap OID is potentially attacker-controlled on the wire. CMS unwrapping allows both id-aesNNN-wrap-pad and id-aesNNN-wrap ciphers. An attacker can take a legitimate message and change a single OID byte to select the padded variant while leaving the message otherwise valid. Since the unwrap key is derived from the recipient's private operation (ECDH key agreement or ML-KEM decapsulation), the RFC 5649 integrity check cannot pass, and the decryption fails with integrity failure. The write is a fixed-size (8-byte), fixed-value (zero) heap overflow immediately past the allocation, requires no special configuration, and is reachable from the public CMS_decrypt() function. The consequence is a heap corruption leading to a Denial of Service. The fix in the CMS code sizes the unwrap output buffer for the worst case so a failed unwrap cannot write past the allocation. FIPS impact: no As the CMS code lives outside the FIPS module boundary, no FIPS modules are affected by this CVE.

CVE-2026-54874 7.5 Élevée
OpenSSL · Openssl openssl
Issue summary: Receiving a DTLS record for a future epoch while a handshake is in progress causes OpenSSL to buffer far more memory than the record itself requires. Impact summary: A peer can use a small amount of network traffic to make an OpenSSL DTLS endpoint retain a disproportionately large amount of memory, which may lead to a Denial of Service. CWE: CWE-405: Asymmetric Resource Consumption (Amplification) Description: While a DTLS handshake is in progress, a peer may legitimately have already moved on to the next epoch (for example, having sent its ChangeCipherSpec and Finished messages) before the local endpoint has processed the same transition, typically because of reordering on the underlying UDP transport. OpenSSL buffers such early records so that they can be processed once the local endpoint catches up. Buffering a record currently retains the entire read buffer it arrived in, which is sized to hold the largest possible DTLS record (around 16 kilobytes), rather than just the bytes that make up the record itself. Up to 100 such records may be buffered per connection. As a result, a peer that sends a stream of small forged records claiming to belong to the next epoch can cause an OpenSSL DTLS endpoint to retain around 1.7 megabytes of memory, despite sending only a small fraction of that amount of data over the network. An attacker therefore gains a memory amplification factor of around 1200, and can multiply the effect across as many associations as it is able to open, making this a remote memory exhaustion Denial of Service risk for DTLS servers. Since the memory retained per connection remains bounded, and any limit an application already places on the number of concurrent associations also bounds the total exposure, this issue has been assessed as Low severity. FIPS impact: no No FIPS modules are affected by this issue as the affected code is outside the OpenSSL FIPS module boundary. OpenSSL 4.0, 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, 3.0, 1.1.1 and 1.0.2 are vulnerable to this issue. OpenSSL 4.0 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 4.0.2. OpenSSL 3.6 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 3.6.4. OpenSSL 3.5 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 3.5.8. OpenSSL 3.4 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 3.4.7. OpenSSL 3.0 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 3.0.22. Premium support customers only: OpenSSL 1.1.1 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 1.1.1zi OpenSSL 1.0.2 users should upgrade to OpenSSL 1.0.2zr This issue was reported on 18 May 2026 by Amazon Web Services. CVE-2026-66882 2.1 Faible
team-alembic ash_authentication
Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation (XSS) vulnerability in team-alembic AshAuthentication allows reflected cross-site scripting via the confirmation and magic link interaction forms. When a strategy is configured with require_interaction? set to true, AshAuthentication serves an intermediate HTML page asking the user to confirm the action by submitting a form. Both such pages embed a request parameter directly into a hidden input's value attribute without HTML escaping: lib/ash_authentication/add_ons/confirmation/confirmation_form.html.eex interpolates the confirm parameter, and lib/ash_authentication/strategies/magic_link/sign_in_form.html.eex interpolates the magic link token parameter. These templates are compiled with EEx.function_from_file/3 using plain <%= %> expressions, which perform no escaping, so the parameter is reflected verbatim. Neither accept handler validates the value before rendering it. AshAuthentication.AddOn.Confirmation.Plug.accept/2 only checks that a confirm key is present, and AshAuthentication.Strategy.MagicLink.Plug.accept/2 reads the parameter directly, so no token signature is verified at this stage and arbitrary attacker-supplied text reaches the template. An unauthenticated attacker can therefore craft a URL whose parameter terminates the attribute and injects markup, for example a quote followed by a <script> element. Because the accept phase is served over GET, loading the crafted link is sufficient; no form submission or prior authentication is required. The injected script executes in the origin of the application embedding AshAuthentication, giving it access to that origin's cookies, session, and same-origin responses. Since these pages are part of the authentication flow, a victim following what appears to be a legitimate confirmation or sign-in link is a plausible target. This issue affects ash_authentication: from 4.8.0 before 4.14.2 and from 5.0.0-rc.0 before 5.0.0-rc.13.

CVE-2026-78680 7.8 Élevée
nltk
NLTK versions before 3.10.3 fail to use validated absolute paths when invoking the Graphviz dot binary in dependencygraph.dot2img and AlignedSent._repr_svg_, allowing attackers to execute arbitrary code by placing a malicious dot binary in the search path or current working directory. Attackers can exploit bare-name binary resolution on Windows via the current working directory or on Unix-like systems via relative PATH entries to execute their binary instead of the legitimate Graphviz tool.

CVE-2026-78678 6.5 Moyenne
gitpython-developers GitPython · Gitpython project gitpython
GitPython versions before 3.1.59 contain an incomplete denylist in the unsafe_git_revision_options guard that omits --contents and -S options, allowing attackers to read arbitrary files by passing these options to Repo.blame(). Attackers can supply revision values like --contents=/etc/passwd to leak file contents through the blame result returned to the caller.

CVE-2026-78677 7.5 Élevée
gitpython-developers GitPython · Gitpython project gitpython
GitPython before 3.1.59 omits --separate-git-dir from unsafe_git_clone_options, allowing attackers to create arbitrary git directories outside the intended clone destination. Attackers can pass a separate_git_dir parameter to Repo.clone_from() or Repo.clone() to redirect repository metadata to an attacker-controlled filesystem path, enabling arbitrary directory creation and potential hook execution.

CVE-2026-78676 9.8 Critique
gitpython-developers GitPython · Gitpython project gitpython
GitPython before 3.1.59 fails to safely re-serialize multi-line git-config values during write operations, corrupting dormant quoted values into injected directives like core.hooksPath. Attackers can craft config files with embedded newlines that become live git directives after any unrelated GitPython config write, enabling arbitrary code execution via hook invocation.

CVE-2026-78675 7.8 Élevée
gitpython-developers GitPython · Gitpython project gitpython
GitPython before 3.1.59 fails to disable merge_includes when parsing .gitmodules, allowing attackers to disclose local file content by including arbitrary file paths via [include] directives. Attackers can craft a malicious .gitmodules file with include directives pointing to sensitive files; when repo.submodules is accessed, GitConfigParser raises MissingSectionHeaderError embedding the target file's first line verbatim in the exception message.
