CVE-2026-49418 8.8 Élevée
FreeBSD · Freebsd freebsd
When msync(MS_INVALIDATE) is called on a mapping of an unmanaged device object, the physical pages in the mapping range are marked invalid but remain in the pager's page list. A subsequent page fault will cause the fault handler to re-insert the page into the object's list. This corrupts the list, and on object destruction the page is freed twice. An unprivileged local user with access to a device that provides memory-mapped I/O can trigger a use-after-free in the kernel, though this is limited to a pool of objects ("fictitious pages") that are never recycled for a different purpose. It may be possible to exploit this to escalate privileges.

CVE-2026-49420 8.8 Élevée
FreeBSD · Freebsd freebsd
The RTSP handler in libalias rewrote outgoing packets into a fixed-length stack buffer without checking whether the rewritten data fit in the buffer, or whether the result fit back in the original packet. A host sending crafted RTSP traffic from inside a NAT gateway using libalias can overflow a stack buffer, potentially achieving remote code execution in the kernel (when using ipfw(4) NAT) or in the natd(8) process (which generally runs as the root user).

CVE-2026-49421 7.1 Élevée
FreeBSD · Freebsd freebsd
The kernel function that implements unlinkat(2) and funlinkat(2) validated the AT_RESOLVE_BENEATH flag but failed to pass it through to the underlying path lookup. The flag was silently dropped, so path resolution was not actually restricted. A process that uses AT_RESOLVE_BENEATH with unlinkat(2) or funlinkat(2) to confine path resolution can in fact resolve paths above the starting directory. A caller relying on this flag for path containment may delete files outside the intended directory tree.

CVE-2026-49426 3.3 Faible
FreeBSD · Freebsd freebsd
When auditing a system call executed via ptrace(PT_SC_REMOTE), the kernel passed the return value of an internal setup function to AUDIT_SYSCALL_EXIT() rather than the actual result of the executed system call. As a result, committed audit records for system calls which returned an error do not reflect the true outcome of the operation. That is, they indicate that the operation succeeded when it in fact failed. Audit records for system calls executed via ptrace(PT_SC_REMOTE) may show an incorrect error status. An attacker with the ability to debug a process could use this to produce misleading audit trails, potentially undermining audit-based Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).

CVE-2026-49427 8.8 Élevée
FreeBSD · Freebsd freebsd
Pages belonging to largepage shared memory objects were not explicitly wired. When sendfile(2) transmitted such an object with the SF_NOCACHE flag, it freed the underlying pages after transmission even though existing mappings still referred to them. An unprivileged local user can abuse the bug to access freed kernel memory. This can be exploited to escalate privileges.

CVE-2026-49428 8.4 Élevée
FreeBSD · Freebsd freebsd
Certain system calls, such open(2) with the O_TRUNC flag set, and fspacectl(2), could incorrectly free memory in largepage objects. These operations are not permitted on largepage objects, but the implementation did not verify this. An unprivileged local user can abuse the bug to access freed kernel memory. This can be exploited to escalate privileges.

CVE-2026-49429 7.8 Élevée
FreeBSD · Freebsd freebsd
The ZFS_IOC_USERSPACE_MANY ioctl, used by zfs-userspace(8), truncated a 64-bit output buffer size to a 32-bit integer for the kernel allocation, but used the original 64-bit size as the buffer limit when writing records. A local user with the "userused" delegated ZFS permission can trigger a kernel heap overflow via the ZFS_IOC_USERSPACE_MANY ioctl, potentially escalating privileges.

CVE-2026-49430 7.8 Élevée
FreeBSD · Freebsd freebsd
The ZFS_IOC_RECV_NEW ioctl, in the heal receive path, similarly truncated a 64-bit payload size to a 32-bit integer for allocation, then used the original 64-bit size as the length for a byteswap operation. A local user with the "receive" delegated ZFS permission can trigger kernel memory corruption via ZFS_IOC_RECV_NEW by sending a crafted receive stream in heal mode.

CVE-2026-49415 8.8 Élevée
FreeBSD · Freebsd freebsd
During execve(2) of a SUID binary, the new virtual address space is installed before the process credentials are updated. During this window, a process running as the same user can access the target process's memory via procfs or linprocfs, because the kernel's debugging permission check still saw the original credentials. An unprivileged local user can exploit this race to modify the address space of a SUID binary before its credentials are elevated, potentially gaining full control of the affected system.

CVE-2026-14366 6.4 Moyenne
zephyrproject zephyr
The Silicon Labs SiWx917 WiFi driver's transmit callback siwx91x_send() in drivers/wifi/siwx91x/siwx91x_wifi.c frees a network packet it does not own. In the Zephyr TX path the net_pkt is owned by the L2/networking stack; the driver only borrows it to copy the frame bytes into a local net_buf. Before the fix, after transmitting, siwx91x_send() additionally called net_pkt_unref(pkt) on the caller-owned packet, dropping its last reference and returning it to the shared packet pool prematurely. This code path is compiled in by default (CONFIG_WIFI_SILABS_SIWX91X_NET_STACK_NATIVE). The caller, ethernet_send() in subsys/net/l2/ethernet/ethernet.c, keeps using the packet after the driver returns: it reads net_pkt_get_len(pkt), updates TX statistics, and then performs its own net_pkt_unref(pkt). Because the driver already released the packet, these are use-after-free reads followed by a second unref (a double free). When concurrent network activity recycles the freed slab slot between the two unrefs, the trailing unref decrements a different, live packet's reference count and frees it, corrupting the net_pkt pool shared by both the receive and transmit paths. The defect is exercised by ordinary transmission over the native-stack SiWx917 WiFi interface, and an adjacent attacker on the same WiFi network can induce transmissions (for example ARP or ICMP echo replies, or TCP handshakes) to drive the path. The primary observable impact is loss of availability (transmit hangs and crashes from pool corruption), with race-dependent memory corruption of the kernel networking buffer pool. The fix removes the erroneous net_pkt_unref(pkt) from siwx91x_send(); the driver's receive-path unref, which correctly frees a packet the driver itself allocated, is unaffected.

CVE-2026-18107 7.8 Élevée
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 · Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 · Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 · Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9
A flaw was found in CRIU's handling of restartable sequences (rseq) during checkpoint/restore. A malicious process inside a container can register an rseq critical section that hijacks CRIU's parasite code injection during checkpoint, allowing it to spoof the process credentials saved in the checkpoint image. On restore, the container process gains elevated capabilities and zeroed UIDs/GIDs. The practical impact on Red Hat products is limited by several factors: checkpoint/restore requires root privileges (podman) or cluster-admin RBAC (OpenShift) to trigger and cannot be initiated from within the container itself; on OpenShift prior to 4.17 the feature required explicit opt-in, and on 4.17+ the kubelet checkpoint API RBAC is not configured by default; OpenShift enforces user namespaces by default for regular workloads (hostUsers is gated behind admin-only SCCs), which makes the spoofed capabilities namespace-scoped and ineffective for privilege escalation; SELinux type enforcement (container_t) blocks privilege transitions independently of capabilities; seccomp filters persist through checkpoint/restore and cannot be corrupted via the parasite; and kernel mount namespace ownership checks on RHEL 9/10 kernels prevent mount-based container escape even with spoofed capabilities.

CVE-2026-11985 3.6 Faible
zephyrproject zephyr
On the Zephyr ARM port, enabling the hardware FPU (CONFIG_FPU) forces the "Floating point ABI" choice, which defaults to CONFIG_FP_HARDABI. Both FP_HARDABI and FP_SOFTABI permit the compiler to emit hardware FP instructions in any function, even code that never uses floating-point types. However, the callee-saved FP registers (s16-s31 / d8-d15) are only saved and restored across a context switch when CONFIG_FPU_SHARING is enabled (arch/arm/core/cortex_m/swap_helper.S and arch/arm/core/cortex_a_r/swap_helper.S), and prior to this fix selecting an ABI did not enable FPU register sharing, which defaults off. In a build that enables the FPU with the default ABI but leaves CONFIG_FPU_SHARING disabled, the kernel preserves no callee-saved FP register state across thread switches. The documented precondition for this "unshared" mode — that only a single thread ever executes FP instructions — is silently violated because the compiler may generate FP instructions in every thread. Under CONFIG_USERSPACE, where threads are mutually isolated, this becomes an information-disclosure boundary crossing: a victim thread can leave secret-derived values in s16-s31, and a co-resident unprivileged thread can read those registers directly (FP register access is not privilege-gated), recovering data left behind by another thread. Without userspace the same defect causes cross-thread FP state corruption (a correctness fault). The leak is bounded to the 16 callee-saved single-precision registers and is opportunistic, so impact is low. The fix makes FP_HARDABI and FP_SOFTABI select CONFIG_FPU_SHARING and tags every thread with K_FP_REGS at creation, so callee-saved FP state is always preserved across context switches whenever the compiler may emit FP instructions.

CVE-2026-10659 4.7 Moyenne
zephyrproject zephyr
The Dhara flash translation layer disk driver (drivers/disk/ftl_dhara.c) implemented the dhara_nand_ callbacks so that, on a flash error, the error code was written unconditionally through the caller-supplied dhara_error_t err pointer (e.g. *err = DHARA_E_ECC in dhara_nand_read, and similar in dhara_nand_erase/prog/copy). The upstream Dhara library calls these callbacks with err == NULL along its journal-resume binary search: find_last_checkblock() invokes find_checkblock(j, mid, &found, NULL), which forwards the NULL pointer into dhara_nand_read(). This path runs during disk_ftl_access_init() -> dhara_map_resume() whenever the FTL disk is mounted/initialised. If a flash read error (uncorrectable ECC, bad block, controller error) occurs on one of the probed checkpoint pages, the driver dereferences and writes to NULL, faulting the kernel (denial of service). The trigger is conditioned on the NAND medium content/health, which can be influenced by media wear, induced faults, or a corrupted/crafted on-flash image. The fix routes all error assignments through the library's NULL-safe dhara_set_error() helper. Affects Zephyr v4.4.0, where the driver was introduced.
